Their flagship IPA--ironically called "Perpetually Unimpressed"--turned me off with its hop burn, but this other DIPA from Knotted Root, Whispering Breezes, is fantastic. Mosaic and Bergamot and Hydra hops from Michigan. No hop burn or greenness whatsoever; supple and juicy with mango/papaya/apricot notes, a little bit of grapefruit bitterness on the finish, and then some dankness rears its head as it warms up. Fantastic beer. 9/10 NEIPA, imo, in a style that I don't generally like anymore.

Music-wise...revisiting the old DT albums. I've been enjoying a lot of melodeath again lately.

Word to that whole story. Music has been a major part of my life. I mean I could pick a decade but I liked them all.

    [IMG] So another fine brew.
Special request here. Im in tbe middle of writing a tune where I have the title, chords, melody and chorus all written but I cant finish the lyrics- serious block. Question: If there is one thing you could put a little "bandaid" on to help it heal or go away what would it be? And bandaid is an analogy for whatever.....

And another ROS: "Flat Abbey Ten Commandments....that's actually carbonated. This one's from 2008; I haven't purchased a Tommy Arthur beer in eons. This one's a little on the sweeter side but still quite tasty. Good job (again) Mr Arthur.

Tasting a little old at three months, but not bad. It's still semi-pleasantly drinkable. Nice.

Finishing off a night of notes with a can of North Park's Art Is Hard, a delightful NEIPA featuring Simcoe, Citra and Motueka.

Prior to this, I wrote and posted some notes on Beachwood's Street 3 Block 2 (hoppy pale ale with Simcoe; canned for the first time) and Hoptical Telescope (a WC DIPA with Mosaic, Strata, Idaho 7, Sultana & Ekuanot; 10th anniversary beer) along with Trappistes Rochefort 6, a beer I haven't had in quite a few years.
