    :joy:
That's funny. Arches Brewing in Atlanta just come out with a French Pilsner. I am not real sure what makes a pilsner French to be honest. Especially one not made in France.

First off, that's the best Marzen around IMHO and probably my favorite beer overall. Second, wow, I have yet to see it on the shelves here in Atlanta. But when I do, I'm all over it. Cool glass btw. Prost!

Ah, I guess that's where it gets its "bready" aroma and flavor. Ah geez, sorry about that. Should have left that bad pun alone.

We're in agreement, it's definitely the best IMO.

I have this glass in .3L and .5L, definitely a good one.

Nice and refreshing. Paired with some nachos with leftover smoked pulled chicken (which is an underrated bbq meat).

    Heavyweight bout....

Blind tasted. I've heard, but cannot confirm, that Weihenstephan is mostly pils malt with a bit of carahell, while Paulaner is a 70/30 blend of pils / Munich, respectively. With that in mind, I was looking for more beadiness in the Paulaner. On the nose that was indeed the case but the taste was actually quite closer. I picked correctly, but it's interesting (if my info is correct) that Weihenstephan manages to get that much malt flavor out of just pils malt essentially. That being said, both are great.

Good day advocates! Cheers there Ozzylizard for another day's thread! Just got home from the Toppling Goliath/Sea Salt weekend opener. They're gonna move a lot of beer. Can't stay too long at a TG tap wagon with 9 different beers. OMG. So I had their Wasserfall Pils (bready crisp & flowery) and the Project Hopfisch IPA (pine, lightly dank, hop frwd and very creamy) and a shrimp po boy:grinning::beers::beers::beers: Chatting with a TG person I was told that Lua brew pub (Ferrari Backpack DIPA and Project Hopfisch) are doing some amazing things w/beer. TG is fantastic.
ROAD TRIP! Cheers! Keep on smiling!
