I have seen the Variety Pack but have not yet bought it. When I get back to Richmond I think I will get it.

Been listening to a lot of Carole King today, specifically her first band The City: Now That Everything's Been Said. With a classic Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

The City is a great short lived band with King, and lots of her and Goffins early originals. With the great session players Daniel Kortchmar, Charles Larkey, and Jim Gordon making up the band.

I never buy them either. They taste even better when other people buy them and don't drink them.

Believe it or not I was admitted to the hospital yesterday due to a health issue. Got out at 4am. Went to bed and got up at 11. I think its ok to have a beer now.[IMG]

Nice, digging through my stacks to find more Carole. Either going to be Tapestry or her incredibly underrated Fantasy album, guess it depends on which I find first

Alesmith Nut Brown. Bartender said I'm the only only one who drinks this. No way this keg would be fresh if that were true. I didn't drink it by myself. If you're not drinking Alesmith Nut Brown there something wrong with you not me.[IMG]

I hope the health issue was nothing serious. Glad you could join us today with a beer.

That is such a great classic beer. I remember when Alesmith first hit around my area (several years ago) and I was really excited to have Nut Brown as one of my regular purchases, everything delivered was already six months old ugh :slight_frown: Though I did find a few good bars that would carry it fresher on tap. Though haven't seen it at all lately, again ugh.

Lupulin Sticky Puddles Imperial Fruited Sour, 9% ABV. Pours pale hazy orange with a 2+ finger white head that left nice lacing. Nose is pineapple, mango, and vanilla. Taste follows, moderate tartness overpowers the sweetness, though it leaves your lips sticky. Excellent mouthfeel, though a bit under-carbonated. Overall excellent.

I'm so used to the sweet fruit puree "sours" from Drekker and Brewing Projekt, that this threw me off a bit, quite sour and only slightly sweet. A true sour-junkie will like this more than I did, and though I realize that a sour should be sour, just not digging it much. Still, reviewing it to style, excellent.
