They didn’t I would have grabbed myself. Had schilling, zero gravity, bunker, idle hands and more but that pops to mind.

Shit, you’re right. I have a picture on my phone when I had a couple myself. One of them was Rothaus Märzen. I sat by the window because of Covid.

Magoun's had their usual deep lineup of German festbiers last Fall. Visited mid-September and late October IIRC.

Snagged a 5L mini-keg of Hoffbrau festbier @ Liquor Junction in Woburn today. Drinking nice as usual while enjoying some college football.

    On tap locally:

Long Cross has Rothaus Märzen and Andechs Spezial Hell on tap! Olde Magoun's likely has something Oktoberfest-like on tap too, but they haven't updated their tap list yet.

    Events:

    Idle Hands Oktoberfest this Saturday!

I had a Rothaus Marzen at Magouns on Saturday night. That was the only one on tap then but hopefully they've added more by now.

Also Bronwyn has announced their Oktoberfest is running 9/16 thru 10/30 this year. Lots of outdoor seating. With Jacob Wirth's gone there's not many options for German food in Boston nowadays.

Magoun’s has solid German food as well!

I think I said this earlier in the thread, but Five Horses has a bunch of Oktoberfests on deck as well.

I had Paulaner Oktoberfestbier there on tap this past Saturday.

Is the Rothaus Marzen is available in stores at all? I am going to swing by Julio’s this weekend to see what I can find.

Magoun’s just announced that their Oktoberfest will be running from September 15 - October 31st. No info on the beer and food lineup but that should be forthcoming. It’s my local so I’m real excited to stop by a few times!

Only disappointed they aren’t tapping any for opening NFL weekend - so I’ll delay my visit by 1 week.

    Should be.

Redstone and Ball Square Liquors have it, I bet Julio's got it.

Well, better late than never. I will be there many times during that stretch.

Just go to Long Cross. They have Rothaus Märzen and Andechs Spezial Hell on tap.

How is Magoun's for watching football? I've never been. Do you have to get there early to secure a table? I was thinking of heading down for the 1pm Pat's game on the 19th.

I’ve been to handful of games there, I would try to get there on the earlier side to guarantee a seat. Maybe no later than 12:30? @SunDevilBeer can speak to it better than I can.

Also depends on how many people you’re with.

It’s my favorite place to watch sporting events though. Screens EVERYWHERE, great pub grub for the game, and in the fall LOTS of Oktoberfest Bier.

Five Horses Davis has Hacker-Pschorr Oktoberfest Märzen, Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier, Weihenstephan Festbier, and Paulaner Oktoberfestbier on tap now.

Along with two Trillium and one Tilted Barn tap for you hop heads. I can attest to the Trillium Blue Hill Ave being really good.

    @SunDevilBeer

Looks like you’re set for Sunday.

Rothaus Märzen, Andechs Spezial Hell, Hacker-Pschorr Oktoberfest Märzen, Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier, Weihenstephan Festbier, and Ayinger Fest-Märzen on tap at Olde Magouns now.

That should be enough to get you started.
