I may have gotten that in the BIF, back before their distro ramped up, but I suspect I got it for free at a tasting event they held in Jacksonville (Jax gets a ton of TG distro - at least, in terms of the hoppy stuff). It's a really good tasting glass.

Pretty weird to be kicked back watching baseball at this hour (on a week day), especially a West Coast game. Had a hankerin' to visit an old liquid friend of mine for the ocassion. Not mind blowing, definitely not terrible, just a rock solid middle of the road D-IPA. BB Date is 12-15-21 but tasting a little "long in the tooth". I wish breweries would use a Bottled On date as opposed to a Best By date, I'll decide whether or not I want to buy it. Not sure how far out Southern Tier dates their IPA's and hesitated before buying the six pack - rolled the dice.

I have enormous apple tree in my yard. It was huge when I bought the house, as no one ever tended to it. Unfortunately, the tree is dying. It's got various problems and now, because it's huge, it's hanging over power lines and the house itself. It still drops apples though. Every other year it litters the yard with them. And they are good, really good. Point is, we're going to have it removed. But, before it goes for good and because this is one of the years it produced apples, I decided to make some hard cider. Came out pretty good too! Anyways, I just got finished bottling it. I'll miss this tree and I want to remember it for years to come, so I am hoping to save some of the cider for many years. As such, I waxed the tops of the bottles too. I'm sure 15 years from now it'll taste like complete ass, but it'll be nice to remember the tree and the the time I made cider from its offerings.

Oh, and I'm drinking a Harpoon Flannel Friday whilst doing all this.

    Salute!

Jackson Street Camper's Delight Imperial Stout, 11% ABV. Pours thick and black with a real nice five-finger brown head that left some foamy lacing. Nose is maple, huge coffee, and slight blueberry. Taste follows, moderately bitter, slightly sweet. Excellent mouthfeel, overall outstanding.

I'm out with my friend and his wife again. Going to drive back to Greensboro tonight after we hang out for a bit. Planning on going back to holden to bottle share a bit. Today is Julia's bday and I already called her for 40 minutes.

Got an Edward teach Terra incognito. Amazing. Great currant and grape juice complexity with raspberry, blackberry, & cranberry notes. Nice sea salt. Tart crisp and lightly sour. Light salinity. Minimal puckering. Refreshing with some lactic funk. Light oak and vanilla maybe. Wow. 4.35

I hate Sabro. LOL. This doesn't overwhelm the other components. If you can get a single can, go for it. DO NOT purchase an entire 4-pack. I love you.
