A good time is being had this weekend over in the malt liquor thread. Not too late to head over to the gas station, 7-11, supermarket or package store and grab a sample or two. It will be the least amount of money you spend on beer all year.

 

Not sure if the De Struise bottle shop is open today (next to that church with the blood of Christ), but I had fun at the tiny bar there during my short stay in Bruges.

Urban Chestnut O'Katz Oktoberfest

 

G'day, all! This is Barrel Aged Oktoberfest, from Millstream, Amana, IA. On tap at Whiskey Road, Cedar Falls, IA. Paired with Southwestern egg rolls and immediately preceded by a wee dram of Weller Full Proof.



One of the residents at the group home where I work has adamantly refused to participate in a pumpkin painting activity for Halloween. I finally told him I was going to put his face on a pumpkin if he didn't paint one. I finished this yesterday. I don't know yet whether he learned his lesson. However, after buying a pumpkin, a set of carving tools, and materials to construct and wire a bottom lighting system, I damn sure learned mine.

Full review in the Malt Liquor / European Strong thread. Bottom line, most people have enjoyed their Malt Liquor / European Strong selections (average score has been 3.0). However, this is the worst thing I have drunk period. I've stopped after a few sips and one larger swig. I may throw away the glass.
