I kinda figured that, but one can never be sure.

Also curious to what others think of it.

Also have an Horus (colab) coffee/maple/coconut stout in 12oz cans , a lot less to shell out for a single to try..if interested.

Close to the Twin Cities: Revolution Deep Wood Four Packs just dropped at Casanova's. Including: Deth's Tar, Cafe Deth, Supermassive Cafe Deth, Straight Jacket, & Vanilla Deth. All were still there around noon. My wallet is still aching.

Honees Honees seems to have been their signature beer for at least a few years, it’s pretty good though not a style I tend to crave.

I liked Lizardize Mariguanas enough a couple of times to keep me checking out their IPAs fairly often. They get some solid west coasts in there that are up my alley. Lagers and whatever else have been at least decent too.

Has anyone seen BA Expo yet? Did we get left out?

No results showing on Bell's, so I suspect it hasn't made it there yet.

I've been checking in Indiana since black friday, and only 2 stores have received it in Indy so far. Probably a few stores on Chicago outskirts in Indiana also, but not the bulk of Indiana. I suspect more will drop this week.

Is MN on the list for drops (e.g. Indiana is getting limited distro, but Ohio is not)? I don't recall.

Based on a string of info in the Bell's Brewery 2021 thread, there is very limited distro to MI, IL, IN, MN, and WI. Just seemed weird that it was all over Chicago but nowhere in MN. Is that a good sign, like it just hasn't made it's way to MN but it will be plentiful (MN loves us some Bell's) or a bad sign, like MN is nearly OH in their eyes?

Pretty sure we get Bell’s stuff a good month after it’s almost anywhere else it’s going.

I shared a bottle with a couple people who absolutely loved it. My taste leans more old school, and I thought it was too sweet, with not enough roast or barrel character to balance.

I picked up two bottle last night and had one (and then I had a Drekker What Lie Beneath right after) - I was blown away by the Humble Forager. Absolutely loved it.

Not quite the prizes they used to be, but Darkness variants were available today. Not sure how many of them there are. My local place only got 1 case (4 of each variant).

A new store popped up further downstate/closer to Cincy today. It's still moving, but slow. I think the stores I am targeting are likely to get it either T/W or Friday. Assuming much comes, anyway. I am pretty shocked to see only 2 stores in Indy with it. That's bananas.

Hope this in some way helps you in your location.

Thanks for the update. I'd be interested in hearing the price when you see it on the shelves. Sometimes places local to me aren't so kind and really jack up the prices on limited releases.

    No problem.

Last time I saw it hit distro by me, I believe I paid $7-8/bottle or ~$30/4 pack. I think I did see one place that had it for $10/bottle and sold singles (which was pretty common that year, and happened in Chicago too). I know people in Chicago said they were seeing $25 - 30/4-pack as well. I think you can say safely that if you see it much more than $30/4 pack or $10/bottle, they are certainly trying to gouge a bit.

Hy-Vee in Brooklyn Park had all three variants, although I didn't see a price. If it's like last year, I'm guessing $13-ish per can.

The variants are Gimmie S'More (vanilla and cinnamon), Midnight Manhattan (cherries, orange peel, bitters), and Blueberry Crumble (blueberries, vanilla, lemon peel).

They had all 3 BA Darkness variants at Eden Prairie Liquor this afternoon (sorry, do not recall price). Also plenty of regular Bourbon County.

Quick early review: I enjoyed all the variants last year. I am drinking the Blueberry Crumble
and do not care for it. I started with this one as I generally like blueberry stouts, but it is overpowered by the lemon/rum combo and tastes more medicinal than any other beer I can recall having in recent years.

Hopefully others enjoy it more than me.

I could see the vanilla/cinnamon one being good, and I almost bought a can, but I agree on the other two.
