She has smashed my BBT 2021 glass and my La Coterie 2020 in the last month. She breaks other ones from time to time and I don't find out until I mention "have you seen x?" WTF.

Or how about clumsy kids? I did see a thread about a wife just getting rid of a collection without letting their spouse know :grimacing:

    Families are the worst!

Funny you should ask - someone else's wife once broke my heart.

Beer (and lots of it) was only involved afterwards, however.

Or you are just incapable of learning a lesson the first time.
My wife can throw hands almost as good as me and she's Salvadorean . You do the math

Edit : forgot to add... my wife has broken 3 or so of my beer glassware,4 bongs ,countless pipes, my balls and a 22oz growler. Do i blame her? Nope. Thats my dumbass fault for staying with her. I deal with it.

She did replace my favorite glass of the bunch she's broken

This just happened on our drive to a bottle share. She wrapped the glass.

Just my balls…especially about my beer purchases and taproom visits.

She replaced your favorite glass, but not your balls. Go figure.

Lost 2 both nice stout pints, a Left Hand & then a gold rimmed Rasputin.
Next month will be my one year anniversary in my new house. I have more beer than I drink and no one to break shit but me.
Sadly, 3-4 glasses were casualties in the move, a Devil's Kettle sniffer, a Bell's IPA tulip (very thin giveaway glass), a Weihenstephaner wheat beer glass & another that slips my mind.
No longer an issue about glassware, beer etc.
Nothing to do with any of the above just felt like being on my own and despite the outside world I've been happier in one year than at least the last 3. Driving around in a life with expired tags is a tough hang. But I digress, accidents happen and it's always an excuse to nab a suitable replacement. The new Devil's Kettle snifter is better made than its predecessor. Cheers!

My absolutely hates my glassware collection as well as the 64 oz growlers i have from years ago, I’m sure she would love to toss/break all of them.

A broken Duvel tulip every year or two is a small price to pay for my, how shall we say it? Habit? Compulsion? Obsession?

I'm just saying be careful what you complain about. She has plenty of beer related issues she could hold against me. I think we all know this.

    Cheers

Miss Shanex has successfully and respectively broken my Duvel tulip, Orval, Leffe and Goudale chalice, along with plenty other things.

Never out of anger or some domestic incident just to reassure you. There’s something about finding someone even clumsier than me.

Otherwise, my fault for letting her handle them. Incidentally I’ve suggested her to not touch and much less attempt wash any of those I have left anymore, and this has paid off.

Well, now we know it was a domestic incident. Not only did you reassure us that “she just tripped,” but you provided your own story about how “it’s your fault” and “you shouldn’t have let her. You knew something bad would happen”.

Yeah, mine decided it would be a great time to get rid of some boxes while I was away or something. Lost all my glassware. Gotta love it. Pretty sure her family hides all the glassware when I come over…

My wife broke 3 dishes in the last week.

I am grateful that I don't have to remind her to not touch my glasses

This is why I limit the items I collect to beer labels; glassware is a bonus, but I expect it to break. Only items I protect are my Sam triple bock and Westvleteren 12 bottles. Otherwise, all the other stuff will be broken over time and is replaceable.

I think there was a similar thread a ways back here.
Maybe it was on the other beer forum I frequent - too many pints to remember for sure.
Mrs. JrGtr has done a number on my glasses. Most of them are whatever, but there's a couple that have bit the big one that I'm still a bit ticked about. A Portsmouth Brewing tulip that somehow followed me home from a Kate the Great release didn't make it, and a Unibrau Fin Du |Monde with artwork |I haven't seen since - I was really ticked about that, and she yelled at me for getting angry... yeah, I can't figure it out either.
