...had a nice hour-long massage earlier this morning, home and loaded some new pills with a new powder I'm trying (hopefully will do well for my CMP matches this coming year), and now watching late morning / early afternoon snow through my Window to Reality within the 'Fortress of Solitude'...will probably go inside and light up the fireplace soon as it's going to be cold along the Front Range today...

Almost every Midwest states has outstanding stouts or porters.

    Wisconsin has Central Waters.
MI has Bells, Founders and all.
Ohio has Great Lakes and Clown Shoes (I think?)

    Obviously a non-exhaustive list.

There’s a bit of a pattern of colder areas in America spawning great stouts and porters.

Yet I realize a disgruntled Californian can tell me about Firestone, The Bruery etc where it’s warm year round and also have their share of great beers of either style.

Had my booster and felt normal the day I had it over two months ago. Didn’t drink at all.

Following night was restful and yet was kind of knocked out the next day.

I've never had Central Waters, but based on the love it gets around here, it must be good. Bell's and Founders are great, Bell's Black Note is probably my favorite BA Stout. Edmund Fitzgerald is the best porter I've ever had. You missed on Clown Shoes, they are Massachusetts based and part of Harpoon Brewing. I haven't had anything from Firestone or Bruery recently, but what I've had in the past was excellent. Don't forget Sierra Nevada top notch stout there too.

Ah, without looking it up I knew I had mistaken Clown Shoes for a Ohioan brewery. Thanks.

You’re right, SN stout was good but I haven’t seen it in ages, like probably 2016.
