Really? The closest thing to a real carrier they used was FedEx. Once. It seems they used them to get the main shipment to the local carrier where the palate gets broken down and packaged for individuals. GLS just opened up where I live, but prior to that the beers were dropped of by a shady dude in an old CRX. No joke.
The last two have been UPS the entire way. Before that was a very nice man in a van. The van did have windows, so I wouldn't call him shady.
Their physical location has been a must stop for years when visiting San Diego and is still great for BA beers but use caution when searching out anything hoppy. Last trip in December I left the store with one IPA can because so many beers were old.
Wow. Coconut Medianoche showed up in my Secret Stash. $35 per, limit 3. I was doing something with my kids and by the time I saw the notification it was gone. Must not have lasted long.
They suckered me into making a new crate with that one. Figured I could trade two, and really eager to try my first Medianoche. Even if it's just trade for other Medianchoes. Seems like they get rave reviews every time. We'll see what the next month brings....
Same -- I unfortunately missed this one as well. Wish they had done limit 1 if it was such a small supply, but congrats to those who snagged one (or three...). Ah well, not like I don't already have plenty of beer to console me!
It seems like they released a string of Anchorage this winter. Maybe we're in for a string of WeldWerks? Hopeful thinking on my part...?
Good to know. Does Triple Oaked get released annually? Asking for... the sake of my savings account. I actually bought DO last time, but haven't drank it yet. Maybe a two year vertical is in store...?
