Unfortunately, no. I had attempted to trade for it for a bit, but received no offers in the end.

I would add Westbrook Apple Brandy Mexican Cake (2013) and maybe 2015 Pappy Mexican Cake to that list. Apparently AB Mexican Cake went for like 1600 a few years ago. I would also think DB Damon might belong on there.

Someone did have a AB Mexican Cake and JD Mexican Cake on the Trade Value Thread available not too long ago.

Didn't they do a JD mex cake b2 recently? Thought that may drop value of OG.

It probably did, but Westbrook hype has died so don't see too many data points. No one likes pepper/cinnamon stouts anymore, everyone just drinks pastry stouts nowadays

JD Mexican cake b2 came out in 2019. Hunted it down recently for my 250. Nothing special. I haven’t caught a whiff of Pappy BM, last one on my list.

Most of the beers on this list are nothing special in comparison to today's stuff. They were all special because they were the first amazing bottles to come out in those styles. In my opinion M isn't remotely close to mjk, jd cake is the worst in that og set and vb assassin was just never sold to the public. '11 Bvdl was great but '13 blew it away.
I would love to try pvw bm again though. Ive had it a few times over the years and it has always been flawless.

Strongly disagree on 11 brandy vanilla vs 13 bvdl. Had both fresh and again a year or so ago. The 11 still had that marshmallow vanilla goodness w excellent mouthfeel and 13 was thin w no barrel. Both good right out the gate but 11 blew it away imo. Agree on being excited to revisit the pvw bm soon. That was also exceptional in mouthfeel and barrel

I've had a few '13's over the years that have definitely been thin and sour. Seems to be hit or miss at this point.

I took a gamble on one a couple years ago and it was terrific. A great trade partner sent it to me for a discount since it was known that some were compromised. My gamble paid off.

This was for regular vanilla BA DL, not BV DL.

    I wouldn't waste your time on a '11 if you got a perfect '13.

A good bottle of VBDL is certainly a reasonable substitute and can be obtained at a fraction of the price of a brandy vanilla dl. There can’t be many of the original 433 bottles left out there at this point.

Trust me…there are ZERO OG VB Assassin left out there. The last one in the wild was opened at a share outside Philly in November of 2018. Then Clark drank his last one, and that was the end of the line.

I don’t believe it. There were only 40 bottles ever released (a 41st bottle chipped during bottling and staff drank it in the spot). I owned 2 of the last 10 bottles. The locations of the final 3 were known, and their disposition widely tracked. The last one to move in the wild traded hands for $5K a few years ago. Clark opened his last one, and the other two are long gone. If someone tells you they still have one (let alone two), they’ve been taken for a ride.

You sir are wrong about extinction. True there were 40 total but they are still out there. There is a person in Iowa that has two currently (per Clark in texting w him tonight). I had one he sent me that I solo domed, so if I had one nobody knew about lends credence to others as well…
