I didn't get the Fonta Flora but I did get Monday and then Sunday. Passed on both. We'll, Sunday sold out real quick so didn't really have a chance there.
I'm really excited for the crate I have closing this weekend. Four new to me barley wines, a couple of Barrel aged Fremont offerings, Headzo, Medianoche, a barrel aged Stout from revolution, and Sticker Monkee for cheaper than I can get it locally.
Fonta Flora recently opened up their full online shop for shipping, and periodic motion is still on there. They’ll ship to all but a handful of states. No $15 flat rate shipping like Tavour, but price isn’t too bad if you order a few bottles. They use gorilla shippers (at least for bottles) so the packaging is solid.
Oh wow...I didn't think those got distribution this year except in those 3 packs. Thanks for the info
Does anyone know what "following" a brewery accomplishes? I followed a few and nothing seems to be happening. Following Revolution did not get me Straight Jacket for instance. Anyone?
Have you gotten notifications for any releases specific to that brewery, outside of the normal notification system?
I don't follow anyone. I wasn't sure if you'd automatically get notified when those breweries appear in your feed. FWIW, my Tavour notifications seem to be rather spotty. I got a string of notifications this week for NE IPAs, in place of the usual, but infrequent, secret stash notification. Not a big deal, but every notification had me clutching my phone hoping it was ADWTD
Yep, I got that offer too, didn't want it though. Ask and ye shall receive, kinda. Now, I have a list...
Yeah, my dumbass bit on the Anchorage stout. It was equal parts the Gojira reference, it sounded good, and maybe it'll keep me in the good graces to get offered DO ADWTD. You'll definitely want to follow breweries. It gets you pre-access to some beers. Other Half All Nelson Everything was my most recent. I had a BA stout pop up for a subscriber preview recently too. Pretty sure it sold out before it went fully public. I don't even remember what it was.
The box they use for cans is really good. Plenty of room between cans and each can is in its own foam hole with foam on top of and under each can. I was more than happy. The beers are very good as well, not a huge fan of their IPA but they are solid. Enjoy
I didn't realize following was an option. Am now following. I'd sure love to see some more Tombstone. @honkey haven't seen the fruits of your labor in over a year.
I just had a 3 pack of BA stouts from Cerebral show up. I was excited, then saw they all had maple syrup and lactose, amongst a bunch of other things. Easy pass.
