    La Cumbre - Elevated IPA

    This is a beer I have been after for a very long time. And it lives up to the hype despite not being super fresh, nor refrigerated at all times (I'm told). You can tell its age but it's still better than the majority of IPAs in the market.

    Prairie Bourbon Paradise, 13.7% ABV. Didn't have a Tripel for the tasting, so this triple-strength BBA stout will have to do.

    Banaananen, a rum barrel-aged Imperial Stout with bananas from estonian brewery Pohjala (13.5%).

    Overall, while this really isn't for me personally, I still think that it makes for really well-balanced brew that is perhaps a little lacking in complexity, but makes up for that with some intense chocolate and banana notes, if that's your thing.

    Also this is my favorite glass style. I went to London and got one at brew by numbers and it was my #1 until my wife broke it. Flip side she still doesn’t know it was me that broke her old school Ghandi bot glass (shhhhh).

    Happy Friday. Had a pretty busy day. Got another project to work on in creo. Putting a larger engine in a mack construction truck. Me and Julia are at fishbones since Sticks and Stones was packed. Got a Sierra Nevada pale ale and it tastes amazing after a long week. Got a weekend of gaming ahead with my college roommate and his brothers again.

    it looks small but easily holds a 16oz can with head. Remarkably difficult to find too, was psyched when I passed Fidens (a 2-3x a year occasion) and they still had them in stock.
