What beer are you drinking now? #59

Bought this for the wife tonight. I drank some (tick!), wayyyy too sweet for me but of course she loves it. She's like the bug from Men in Black. SUGAR......IN........WATER.

 

After a mechanical breakdown, 3 Fonteinen Brewery of Beersel (possibly the best Lambic blender in the world) had economic damage in the summer of 2009. The news caused such a stir in the International beer movement that I called Armand to know how things were. As he needed to sell his Lambic, I immediately got inspired to blend our New Morning with his beer. We selected three 18 month old Lambic barrels that we siphoned in a small tank on our truck. The journey back was long and hard, myself and Manuel took turns driving through Belgium, France and Italy only stopping for gas. After days hand bottling and months of maturation, the outcome has gone over and beyond our expectations and we can say with pride that it was worth it!

 

About to rock a fresh 2012 Abyss. I already know I'm going to love it even though it's long before its best after date.

Enjoying a Southern Tier 2XMAS while amusing myself watching the Best of Terry Tate during commercials of the Sixers/Mavs game... "You kill the jo' you gotta make some mo'..."

 

My buddy busted this out as an "end of the world brew" and it is amazing! This beer quit school cause of recess... It don't play!!!!!

 

I think this is proof that (do not take it wrong my friends) that the Belgian lambic lovers totally may not be aware of the connection between the Belgians and Italians when it come to lambics. Italy received 5 spots for the Zwanze day more then any other European country.

Guys remember my words! If you dismiss Italian craft and miss the onslaught that is coming, well hey I am here to help you love it!

It was an epic journey getting the package to you. But glad you got the package a-OK when it finally arrived and that you're able to enjoy some taste brews from the homeland!

I heard from other BA's that the stuff is so bad that he wont even drink it, he just sends it to everybody else.

 

Sidenote, I've been enjoying this episode of Frozen Planet while I drink / drank that Mint-Choco, but the show on next—Frontier Earth, whatever that is—is about lemurs tonight. And I. Fucking. Love. Lemurs.

Not joking, folks. I did a research project on Black and White and Red Ruffed Lemurs (Varecia variegata variegata and rubra, respectively) in undergrad for my Primate Conservation Biology course, and they're dumber than shit but man are they neat little critters. And cute, for what that's worth.
