Got some spicy meatballs in Arrabiata sauce cooking for dinner, probably going to make a meatball sandwich for dinner - been in the mood all day. Right now I'm trying Green Fountains and this is pretty good, I have no complaints. No date other than 22069 which I'm assuming means best by 06/09/2022. It tastes fresh - I don't understand why they just don't print a clearly legible date not open to interpretation since they bothered to print 22069.

That never makes sense to me either. Just stamp the container with a clear, legible Package On or Best By Date. It's not that big of a deal.

Agreed - I just emailed them and asked how I should interpret that code, and why they just don't print a straightforward canned on date. Obviously they have the capability to do so. This is from their website:

Each can of Ten Bends Beer has a unique code that allows us to track granular details about the batch, including when it was packaged, recipe details, production notes, sensory evaluation logs, and more. In addition, every week, our staff holds tastings to evaluate each batch going back several months. Through these evaluations, we ensure that if there is beer in the market, it is always a great beer for you to enjoy. If we do taste a product that we believe is not good enough, we immediately pull any remaining supply from our distribution partners so it is out of circulation.

Here's some of the After, that led the beer to taste so good . Might get to the Before later.
The biggest one is still hanging over the driveway, suspended by grapevines. I'll tackle that after work tomorrow. Can comfortably drive under it for now. It was mostly off to the side, but a plow hit a small side branch, & drove it (& a pile on the ground) ~ 10' , right to the driveway.
(& as I type this, it's coming down hard again, but (thankfully) with 20+mph wind) Guessing only 10-12" (14"?), but super-heavy. Went hard for 6 hrs, then during a lull, things started breaking.

I realize it's extra cost to get the capability to date stamp and batch stamp. So I'm not too hard on a new brewery about that but after a few years you need to be able to do both. It's just part of doing business and being considerate of your consumers. Glad you did that. They need to know.

Despite all that, it's a very good beer and I'm enjoying it. Not overly juicy and pleasantly hoppy. I like it!

It got a pretty good rating on BA

Would probably go well with a nice spliff .

A former colleague and friend from the 90's in my PHX days played in a three-piece band inspired by their love of Rush, playing their originals and some covers in the Tempe-South Scottsdale small club circuit. They had a version of The Trees which from an artistic point of view is difficult to perform with all the tempo changes - they pulled it off very well the one time i heard it live! My friend Ted, who was probably in his mid-late 20's at the time was a modern Tom Sawyer, very talented, articulate, and charming. I lost contact with him when he moved to work in the airline industry up in Denver. I was shocked but not surprised when i found out recently he is the CEO of Spirit Airlines!
    Cheers!

Onto beer #2/3, still drinking great! Down to one last can.
Mentioned earlier we went up to Asheville to see Samantha Fish this weekend. The second band that played, Eddie 9V was very entertaining and full of energy. Another modern Blues-Rock band; would recommend to give them a listen if you are into the genre!
    Cheers!
