    I have a bottle of Dogfish Head Golden Shower Imperial Pilsner, given to me by my neighbor a few years ago. He said it's rare because it is no longer produced and was pretty controversial because of the label. Can anyone provide more information on this? Thanks in advance!

    Original name was to be Prescription Pils but that was a no go from the government, Golden Shower was ok though. This was a brew pub only in 2009. The DFH site has a bit of info and you can Google the rest.

    No matter how aromatic a brown ale might be, the brewer should avoid naming it "Brown Noser."

    Based on the notes and the ratings I'd probably enjoy it, but the likelihood of it ever showing up at Trader Joe's in Los Angeles is pretty slim.
