    look: 3.5 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 4 | feel: 4 | overall: 3.75

    Crystal clear, pale yellow color; very nice carbonation; relatively thin head yet lasting, sticky half-rings and flecks of foam stick to the glass. Soft, gentle cereal grain aroma; light to moderate grassy, spicy hop scent. Very nice rounded, balanced taste; light malt base with a light to moderate hop bitterness; a mild herbal quality throughout. Light to medium mouthfeel; semi-sweet with a fine dry edge.

    This is a fine light and easy drinking beer, balanced and flavorful.

    ...Mrs. BeerGoot has ordered me to start clearing out the big cans (and bottles) of beer in the kitchen refrigerator (probably to make room for her wine bottles...:sunglasses:), so one Cerberus crowler going down, one to go...and there's no room in the 'Fortress of Solitude' mini-beer fridge, so - she who must be obeyed rules the roost...

    Lemon zest, resinous pine, soft mouthfeel, mild bitterness. Easy drinking middle of the road ipa.

    I’m Chicago on a business trip enjoying some of my haul. I didn’t go too crazy this time as I had to share transportation only to find out later others checked a bag and I could have gone more crazy and that I am not coming back here in November as expected. That conference will be in Indianapolis this year. Oh well. I will see what I can grab there and I think I did well with a small haul. I will add that to the haul thread.

    This was the only Hop Butcher beer at the Binny’s at the South Loop location yesterday. It’s outstanding and plenty bold. Roughspun has Simcoe, Columbus, and Amarillo.
