[IMG] Tonight's Blind Battle Beer Tasting Lineup:

    1) New Belgium Voodoo Ranger Juicy Haze IPA (7.5%): A juicy IPA from Colorado with flavors of orange, pineapple, light tropical fruit, and pine.
    versus
    2) Surly Drips and Drops (7.4%): A hazy IPA from Minnesota brewed with Citra and Mosaic for flavors of juicy orange citrus, pineapple, and pronounced tropical notes.

    3) Rogue Dead Guy Ale (6.8%): A maibock from Oregon with flavors of rich caramel, sweet brown bread, bread pudding, and bread crust. A smooth, sweeet finish.
    versus
    4) Lift Bridge Maibock (7.7%): A maibock from Minnesota with flavors of toasted brown bread and bread crust. Caramel with bread spice to finish. Dryer & hides the alcohol well.
(mismatched these two blind, overall one of the two pairs correctly matched blind)
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Winners:

    1) New Belgium Voodoo Ranger Juicy Haze IPA:
This one has grown on me. Nice citrus, pineapple, and light herbal flavors. Surly does a lot of great things, but often their IPAs don't impress me. Drips and Drops drank pretty average, but demands $4 a pop.

    3) Rogue Dead Guy Ale:
This one has a much more robust flavor profile of caramel, brown bread, and floral hop flavors. There's a reason it's a highly rated Maibock in The States.

Having another Hopulence since I really enjoyed the last one ...

And I realize nobody gives a rats ass - or a mouse's ass for that matter, but here's is my tribute to Wormtown (Worcester MA).

I grew up in Wormtown and I've paid my share of dues there. Wormtown has always had a thriving underground music scene and that's really what my tune is meant to recognize and honor in my own way.

Ale of 2 Kings, a Collab ImpIPA between Boundary Bay and Burke-Gilman, the only 2 Washington breweries to have won the Alpha King Challenge. A malty, hoppy OG style IPA.

Enjoying a Stone IPA on this No Snake Thursday.

Usually pass on Stone because a six of the IPA has been running around $12 in these parts. Ran across their 12 pak variety offering yesterday at $15.48 and only a month old. Another "Why the Hell not" moment.

    Cheers Y'all
