Crystal clear body, light gold color; thick, lively carbonation; thick, fluffy, white head. Gentle grain aroma with a bit of grassy herbal character. bread crust. The taste follows along the lines of the smell; mild malt flavor; light, delicate sweetness; grassy and very mild floral notes; light hop bitterness. Light body; crisp; soft dryness.

A nice, relatively light and delicate pilsner for enjoyment in the upcoming warmer days.

Happy rainy, grey Friday, WBAYDN! Not the prettiest start to a weekend, but I'll take it.

Good afternoon BA's! A change in the weather day in Western NC with temps in the upper 60's, rain in the wee hours this morning and more expected in the next couple of hours, and a tornado watch thru 8:00 EST. Enjoyed a nice hike in Pisgah Forest with Da Boss, man i love that place!
Today's first choice is from Jackie O's, a barrel aged Barleywine. This is a really nice example of excellent blending of the bourbon and brandy barrels as the flavors complement in excellent fashion!
Listening to Red, White, & Booze on Sirius XM and heard this earlier.
    Cheers to the weekend!

Good afternoon, advocates. Getting into it w/ some apple pie flower and Punge on this dreary, Southeastern PA afternoon. A few MLB games have been postponed as a result. I'm pretty sure I can still find a game to enjoy.
    Cheers!

Sounds like a great colab. Not seen it here, so far. Regular Bitburger is somewhat widely available here in NW Europe. Awesome glass by the way.

Rauchbier! Fox Farm The Cavern Smoked Doppelbock. Now there's something you don't run into everyday. This beer reminds me of Schlenkerla Urbock. You'd hardly know your drinking a 7% Doppelbock. I can't help but think this would be a perfect Christmas Eve beer. Prost!

A World Beer Cup bronze for one of my early favorite Virginia beers, which is still a yearly purchase. Alewerks’ rebranded BBP, listed in the winners list by its old, elaborated moniker:

I have a vertical of almost five years that I might throw in the What’s the Difference? thread this weekend, as this news is a good excuse to pull the trigger on that activity. For now, just a shared bottle:

At Sam Adams Cincinnati Taproom. Currently drinking a From the Market...a spiced Czech Pilsner brewed with ingredients (orange peel, cardamom, and white tea leaves) from right down the street at Findlay Market...can't quite see it in my photo.

Sir, that's the least prominent hop in that beer. Besides, let's just say it's a little overpowering for your palate -- suck it up! There is no such thing. We should all be so lucky to have a little Nelson in our life. Haha. I love you!

After a potent, yet delicious, beginning to this beer-drinking day I think the High Life is more my speed moving forward. For now.

I agree but we need a crystal ball to see when this downward trend will end..
