What beer are you drinking now? #3496

@Danmullens1 knows what cuisine we enjoy on special occasions in Werscansin. The weather is perfect. So much joy. Thank you, everyone. There is a certain song I need to hear.

 

I've enjoyed pretty much all of the Forest & Main beers I picked up ~6 weeks ago, and this is no exception. At 3.3% but with plenty of taste, I could drink this all day.

Another looong day of sitting around doing nothing…the Judge didn’t take the bench until noon…got some “to go” food and a 6pk tonight. A new to me beer and brewery, drinking local, Wynwood Brewing Company, Miami FL, “Laces IPA”:



Bottled 3/25/22. Two fingers of white foamy head sits atop a deep gold liquid with excellent clarity; very good cap retention; heavy ring and lots is sudsy lacing. Grapefruit nose, then just a whiff of earthy/skunky hops as beer warms. Entry is grapefruit; light bitter Meyers lemons; firm malt base; some tropical fruit in middle; grapefruit seals the deal. Crisp clean mouthfeel; medium light body; moderate minus carbonation; no astringency; no alcohol presence from 6.9% abv. Overall an excellent Southern-style American IPA; lovely light bitter citrus peel linger (50 IBU); an easy drinking hot weather IPA - a pounder!

Hey Mods! This beer is not retired. It is currently on tap at the brewery and I just bought a 6pk at a grocery store downtown Miami.

A brewer who coaxes the best from Mosaic and paired it nicely with Amarillo and Falconers Flight hops. I like everything about this beer, and glad I took a flyer on not only a new brewery and beer (to me) but one where Mosaic is the lead hop. If I’ve learned anything, it is that great surprises are out there, and to just embrace the unknown. Cheers brethren of the now!

Enjoying this craft Kölsch atm. It's hitting the spot to, I could drink these all day. Very tasty. Getting ready to eat some red beans and rice I cooked today. Cheers y'all!

Great Vietnamese food time. At Hughies as usual. Lone Pint Yellow Rose and a wonderful Vermicelli bowl. Banh Mi is one of my favorite sandwiches/comfort food ever, but have been taking a brake from that lately. Good thing all the great Vietnamese spots around me have...you know more than one thing on the menu

 

Something a bit different. Cereal After Dark from Charleston's Edmund's Oast. This was recommended at a beer store in Gainesville, GA when I asked for a dark beer that's not overly sweet or high ABV. Didn't notice the lactose addition. I like it.

 

I have to try some Vietnamese next time I'm in Houston.
