After some coffee I decided to have a sour to help me wake up (it will probably put me to sleep).

At the DFW airport, I’ve never had the privilege to try Sierra Nevada Pale Ale on draught.

I’m about to fix that.

The website references this being a session beer and I agree - it is definitely sessionable with the floral hop flavors and lighter body, but it’s a beer I’ll revisit every chance I can. I prefer the bottled version, but I still absolutely love this iteration.

Afternoon BA's! Another nice summer day in Western NC with temps in the low 80's. Unfortunately, we will be getting blasted in a few days by the heat most of the south is not enjoying.
Today's choice is a local out of the greater Asheville area, Zebulon Artisan Ales. This is the BA version of an English Barleywine. Barrel presence is very nice lending boozy vanilla notes over a nice dark fruit malt base. Only complaint is that it comes across under carbonated. Anyway, a tasty sipper nonetheless!

Happy to find that after ~6mos in the fridge this one improved over time as the flavors have melded and become less harshly distinct.

At Bull n Bear Brewery drinking Profit & Loss Pils a 5% ABV Czech style Pilsner. Bull n Bear has brewed good Pilsner before but they hit this one out of the park. They lagered this brew for 90 day's. Excellent brew Crisp, hoppy with a nice malt body. A fine Pilsner by any standard.

 

I guess I went 0-4 on my "Road to Nowhere" last week with the Old Nation beers I bought, gave the last two to my bro-in-law figuring I won't like them and he's an Old Nation fan. That being said, this B-43, is my 1st and last Brut IPA......enjoy what's in yer glass......cuz I didn't.....
.......and fills yer ears............let's make it a twofer Tuesday!

 

When everyone you work with is an aderral/ meth addicted weirdo its nice to get away to circle the block a few times having a beer ( beer is frowned upon but feel free to get an aderral pill from the cokehead director LOL

Spinning Byter Layter. While I have always loved everything Nick Drake has ever done, this was the lesser of his original three albums for me, if I could say such things about any of his albums. Though lately, really I can't get enough of it.








And regardless of my past opinions, this as always been one of the best pop-folk songs ever recorded.
