    Almost exactly it’s 5 year birthday. 07/26/17 DFH oak-aged vanilla WWS. Loads of barrel on the nose still. Flavor actually is pulling more vanilla up front. Alcohol bite is there, but slightly mellowed. 10 years is the nirvana zone for regular WWS. This might be that way, too.

    It comes off as vanilla extract but for me it wasn't too much. Lot of alcohol burn though

    Unsolicited $0.02…the vanilla was the only Deep Woods that seemed heavy-handed and border-line cloying. I like vanilla in a stout (currently with my oak aged vanilla WWS), but that was like Marrakech hashish. I just made up that reference.
