Yellow Rose IPA - Lone Pint Brewery

 

Today, I was surprised to see several imported Oktoberfest beers available in Panama City Beach, Florida; the summer tourist season is still quite busy and the temperatures have been in the 90s with a heat index of close to close to 100 with all the humidity. I still purchased a couple of six-packs of Oktoberfest as well as this classic Czech-style pilsner from Champion Brewing Company in Virginia. This is very refreshing with a true Czech style with a deeper golden hue and delicate hop profile. At 4.5 % ABV, this is very quaffable.

 

This stuff is pretty special. Cheers all.

 

Got a new supply of the Golden Monkey. Time to dig in.

My beer sensai brought this to me this weekend when he visited with his wife (who is Mrs O’s best friend). They visited the brewery in early June, so this has been around the country, and it definitely has some whiskers.

It is not as extraordinarily incredible as it is when it is fresh (less than 2 weeks old in my experience), but it is still truly a pleasure to drink - every time I enjoy this, it reminds me that the beer godz do love us beer nerds.

 

A good storm is rolling through, this is nice.

 

Great collaboration from Weldwerks x Toppling Goliath. Sadly my last one, but just means I get to go shop at the beer store tomorrow.

 

Little Sumpin' Ale, youngest daughter's offer on a house just got accepted so cheers to her!!

 

In DE at a popular outdoor beach bar and started out with an illegal. (A.k.a. - "smuggled" beer )



And next? Resorting to a rather dismal beer menu but this one is pretty solid from RAR - Nanticoke Nectar IPA (and a first time with this one).

Yep, my buddy visited the brewery on 6/8/22 and the bottle date is 6/1/22. He wanted to surprise me with this, so he took it back to Georgia and let it sit until this past weekend.

If I would’ve known he had it, I would’ve flown to Atlanta and driven to him to get it at a little over a week old. For real.

But it was still pretty flocking good.

Prairie Artisan Sundae Service BA Imperial Stout, 14.9% ABV. This one from my cellar is fine, but the one I had a couple of weeks ago was a near-drain-pour. Must not have been well sealed.
