    Time for a Hippie chick

I made Chinese sausage and green beans for dinner - spicy of course  It was pretty damn good.

I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but here's a new tune, I like it and it's a bit different.

...'fortifying' myself as Mrs. BeerGoot has a friend coming over for BLTs plus there's the old biddy former neighbor who's coming down from Denver to haunt the neighborhood (and stay one night with us - forgot to get holy water from a local Catholic church to purge / purify things, but I do have plenty of beer and high octane spirits, so...)...I'm not suited for estrogen-rich environments for extended time-frames...

#2, I believe this was sent to me by @jonphisher in NBW BIF#15, and it is outstanding - crisp like a lager, with a lot of roasty notes and significant gravitas (8% ABV). Absolutely love it.

PS: if it wasn’t Jon, it was courtesy of @Roy_Hobbs. Getting old s-u-c-k-s.

...probably one of my first saison experiences...didn't know what to make of it then...have like it since, but like you, it's been ages since I've had one...I may have to revisit this one...

I was surprised at how good it is honestly - hits all the right notes, no # or b's

[IMG] Don’t love any of the last few Foam’s I have had. Still solid, but less than a 4.

Dude, talk about estrogen rich environments that was my life for 40 years (and still is). Two daughters and my wife ruled. My vote did not count. Add to that, I have two sisters (my brother passed years ago) who are constantly on my case.

Stay cool my friend. Me. Time for another beer. Clams are on the menu tonight.

...why I've always enjoyed a good lager / pilsner more than anything else, and the recent BA online kölsch tasting has me well stocked on that easy drinking style...

I have not had many Kolsch's. They're virtually non-existent around me it seems. I'll scoff some if I run into it. Cheers!

...I'll persevere...a strong mother, four younger sisters (plus two younger brothers), a strong wife -- I can relate although I'm oh-so slowly learning how to reach parity with some of my wife's 'demands' (it's not like I can't be a bear to live with)...

Going to steam some clams in an inch or two of white wine, garlic, parsley and a bit of crushed red peppers. Recipe provided by one of our favorite BA chefs.

I'd like to see you try beer sometime instead of the wine - curious - I think beer would go really well with the clams. You'd have to use a lighter style imho - something like Miller High Life. Enjoy!

Tröegenator is the name of the game today. Busy day in brew room.
Finishing off with the gifts of my craft. Got a mean Pete's Wicked Ale clone that I absolutely adore. As well as a mean Honey Double Mai Bock.
    Plus others.

Wow! You came from a big family. Sounds like you were the oldest of seven. If so, you probably had a lot of responsibilities.
