It's been at least 10 years since I drank this beer, sold by Lidl in Sweden, a 3.5% German pilsner. Aroma and tastewise it tastes like a generic, clean, German hop extract-pilsner, only lighter bodied. It still has some body to it however, it doesn't taste like water. IBUs are probably in the low 20s, in line with most European lager beers, it helps to give the beer a refreshing quality. The aftertaste is dry. There are name brand German Pilsners such as Berliner Pilsner which don't offer much more tastewise than this, at 5% abv rather than 3.5%, so I think this beer holds its own.

Also love Huey Lewis and the news but since I heard this Indian life coach; I’ve pretty much found God reincarnated.

Happy IPA day BA's! Diving into Birds Fly South Ale Projects Apologize Less IPA. This is made with Cashmere, Mosaic, and Dragon hops. Flavors are all over the IPA flavor map with Mosaic dominating. Very nice beer will have a second of this!
    Cheers!

Now at Sapsuckers on Long Island, Huntington, to be specific. Home of the one and only, Karate Kid aka Ralph Macchio. This draft pour is Mastermind from Fiddlehead. Peace to @JayORear for making me want to drink this again.

A post with a picture of a beer I posted about in the IPA Day thread:

Melcher Street is my first try at a Trillium beer, pretty sure and discounting any collaborations. It’s pretty dang decent and reminds me a tad of the original Aslin beers I tried.

Not surprising it’s not soaring above the heads of hazies I’ve had before, though it’s above many and still pretty chilled as I type. Congress Street will be next, and hopefully that gives me a good frame of reference on Trillium.

Ha! Wasn’t aware there was a real video for this song.

Tonight’s Blind Battle Beer Tasting Lineup:

    1) Klosterbrauerei Andechs Vollbier Hell (4.8%): A German Helles with flavors of pale malts, earthy, grassy, German malts, and smooth honeysuckle. Relatively crisp and dry finish.
    versus
    2) Ayinger Bairisch Pils (5.2%): An authentic German Pilsner with flavors of earthy grains, yeast, and a light grassiness. A larger, bready finish.

    3) BlackStack/EQ Stack at the Lab (8.4% no canning date): A NEIPA with Citra & Idaho 7 for flavors of sweet mango, pineapple mixed with resinous berries/melon. Heavier, sweeter.
    versus
    4) BlackStack Trust the Process (8.4% no canning date): A NEIPA with Simcoe & Idaho 7 for flavors of mango, pineapple, green citrus and grapefruit. A very balanced, clean finish.
    (both pairs mismatched blind)
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Winners:

    1) Andechs Vollbier Hell:
This on has a delicate earthy but sweet honeysuckle flavor. Incredibly drinkable. Probably one of the most drinkable German lagers for the flavor. Ayinger is top notch too, more complex, but leans heavier for a German Pils.

    4) BlackStack Trust the Process:
This one was fantastic. The Idaho 7 was perfect here. Mango, ripe pineapple, with a green, grapefruit citrus component to balance the sweetness. The flavor and body here are as good as it gets. I'd trust this process and pick it up again. Why couldn't I couldn't get any of the beers straight in the blind test? I don't know, but both pairs were top notch and similar. I felt a poor man's 50:50 chance on both of the pairs.
