Had a Stone IPA on tap at Stone ( something i had NEVER done in the 9 years i was frequenting the place) and now i pick the stovepipes over most and get it in tap more often than ever
Regardless of what beer posers say on here, its still a Fantastic beer! The old recipe can go screw itself.

Currently drinking this canned on 7/17/2022@SFACRKnight did i get kicked in the head during a training session? Maybe. Havent had a real non milk Stout in a few days.
    And yes that's an onion

Life and Fate XI from Root + Branch. This is an excellent series, and my first go-round w/ this iteration that was released this past week.
    P. S. It's glorious, but you would expect that w/ these guys. Cheers!

Don't you ipa guys juice onions into them ?
How else did they acheive onion flavors in most well made IPAs?

I asked my dad earlier if he was depressed. The humor was lost on him -- initially. She was surely a talent who will be missed by many.

Tonight’s Blind Battle Beer Tasting Lineup:

    1) Birrificio Semederato (5.0%):
A European Pale lager from Italy with flavors of bread spice, earthy malts, and yeast. Full-bodied.
    versus
    2) Stella Artois Lager (5.0%): A European pale lager that has flavors of light bread malts, yeast, with some hints of smooth lemonflower.

    3) HoofHearted $60 Nachos (8.0% canned 10/24/21): A NEIPA from Ohio with flavors of tropical mandarin orange, pineapple, sweet peach, and some mango.
    versus
    4) Short Throw White Van Vibez (8.4% canned 10/27/21): A NEIPA from Connecticut with Citra, Strata, and El Dorado for flavors of tropical mandarin orange, pineapple, grapefruit, and sweet peach. (Correctly matched both pairs blind)
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Winners:

    2) Stella Artois:
Semedorato was surprisingly good. Nice earthy and bready flavors with a full body. Stella is slightly more drinkable though, but closer than I expected. Both were fantastic.

    3) Hoof Hearted $60 Nachos: Two inadvertently older NEIPAs. Second time at this one and it again still drinks surprisingly well for the age. The tropical and juicy flavors hold up quite well and the oxidation, while present, seemed minimal. You could have told me it was canned last month and I'd have believed you. That's a good IPA. I do think a NEIPA can hold up to some age if it avoids head/light and isn't dry-hopped. This one has been refrigerated since canning as far as I know. To me the dry-hopping seems to be what really makes finding freshness crucial. Drink fresh and don't go drinking old NEIPAs, but I was curious to see what would happen this far out with these two I had on hand and was decently surprised.
