St. Nick Bock is a great tasting beer. I pretty much buy a six-pack every year. It’s hard to pass up the display around the holidays. Pretty cool artwork on the bottle

My college roommate grew up in Ben Avon then lived on the south side when first married. We used to go to Penn for beer and a small bar named Fat Head's for wings (long before they started making beer in Ohio).

 

Joining with my last for the night and a shot of the dinner plate.
BBQ chicken, grilled zuke, and some slaw. Chicken is on the biscuit my wife made.
Hell yeah! Another Tilted pale.

Not a legit WAYDN post. But given it is my anniversary I can probably get away with one infraction. Bottle of wine feeling fine. Reminds me of a song that I cannot remember.

Ben Avon is about 1 mile down the road from where I live. And look at Fat heads now!

 

Well, I had more to drink tonight than planned...always have to toast Jack DeJohnette whenever possible. Of all the trio bands he has played in, from Bill Evans to Keith Jarrette and John Abercombie, and much more, this is absolutely up their as one of the best and more underrated.

With Richard Beirach and George Mraz. Again, no easily found tracks from this masterpiece on ECM, but some similar bands. Though with Dave Holland and Dave Liebman. Yeah, these guys just never stop playing. Forgive my second non beer of the thread

And I'm out after this...

 

He’s in Cranberry now. When I visit I’ll let you know to see if you’re free for a beer.

That would be great! Cranberry is where I grew up. It was mostly farm land back then.
