Tonight’s Blind Battle Beer Tasting Lineup:

1) Baltika 3 Classic (4.8%): A Euro lager from the Russian Federation with flavors of pale malts, bread malts, a grainy yeast. Dry and slightly rustic.
versus
2) Stella Artois Lager (5.0%): A European pale lager that has flavors of light bread malts, yeast, with some hints of smooth lemonflower.

3) Ology Resolve Enigma (7.0% no canning date): A DDH West-coast IPA from Florida with Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe for flavors of tangerine and sweet peach. Some oxidation.
versus
4) American Solera DIPA is Fun (8.3% canned 11/21): A West-coat IPA from Oklahoma with Centennial and Simcoe for flavors of tangerine & grapefruit citrus with a slightly juicy pineapple and pine finish. (All beers correctly matched blind)

Winners:

2) Stella Artois: This one has the nice smooth lemonflower and biscuit malt flaovrs. Subtly sweet, but smooth. Couldn't let the Russian Federation have this one.

4) American Solera DIPA is Fun: Pretty old, but still drinks well. Juicy for a WCIPA. Nice orange, tangerine, grapefruit citrus, some pineapple with a light pine finish. Pretty decent stuff.

 

Last can and im ok with that

Back home safely and grabbed a random pull from the outside beer fridge, Stone IPA. Off tomorrow so planning on a 30 mile bike ride followed by a bottle of the baby....

 

I don’t recall coming across this one yet, but love both Larry’s on this one, not that this is a surprise. Incredible jam session, the entire crew is kicking ass, but love how you and Larry are playing off of each other and “exploring the space”. Thanks for posting!!!

I should be posting my third beer at this point, a cask pour, but Mohave Brewing is remodeling their bar, their cask is off, and I’m not tempted by what they have on, so waiting to get to the Autoplex Breweries a bit north of here.

Masswhole - although I think they spell it a bit differently around here. A solid lager made from all local ingredients.



Here's another jam from the post-pandemic jam session with @tasterschoice62 - I think this was the first jam of the day. Nobody ever heard these tunes, we just made them up on the spot. This one was just Chef Larry on drums, Kevin O on bass, and me on guitar.
