Swung by hogshead and actually stuck around to drink. Only got a picture of Barges Mild but I also had a couple more a nice dortmunder export and an ordinary bitter below 4% called fits the bill. A fun brewery and somebody offered me homebrew equipment so thanks Allen if you're on here!

Finally made it to the cluster of three breweries near the Henderson Autoplex. First stop, Bad Beat Brewing.

Bad Beat Hoppy Times



Brewer Notes: West Coast IPA, 7% ABV, $6 pint.

Appearance: 16 oz draft poured into a Nonic glass. Clear straw golden base, mild carbonation, ream white head leaves a dusting over the base and generous lacing. 4.0

Aroma: Barely there after a few attempts. Light grapefruit, pine and lime. Ok from what I can gather. 3.25

Taste: A bit strong but not much more than the aroma leads, but light and subtle for a 7% brewer/proclaimed WCIPA. Like and grapefruit, pine perks like a shy boy checking out his 5th grade classmate. About a third of the way in, and no change. 3.0

Mouthfeel: Dry with light to mild bitterness. Drinks easier than the abv, nothing finish. 3.25

Overall: Nothing really to support with this one, a bland beer without anything to recommend. Meh. 3.0

One and done here, hoping for better luck at CraftHaus.
