Thank you for sharing Rocket w/ us over the years. I loved every single post. I may only be feeling a small percentage of what you are feeling right now, but trust me, I feel it. Dogs are one of my weaknesses. No man or woman will ever feel the pure, unadulterated love (from a human) that a dog offers willingly. Each time they see you, they wag their tail w/ the same joy they experienced the first day you brought them to their forever home. I f*cking love dogs.

Just finished a Foster's Premium Ale. It honestly gets more hate than it deserves, sure the color is fake, but it's a cheap beer and hops and malts are detectable

This Czechvar Lager is for @beergoot and Rocket I'm sure he'd enjoy something easy drinking and exoticish in his honor, it's good to see how much you loved him, our pets deserve to be loved like family.

[IMG] Tonight’s Blind Battle Beer Tasting Lineup:

    1) Leinenkugel's Sunset Wheat (4.9%):
A Blueberry wheat from Wisconsin with blueberry with flavors of blueberry, peach cobbler, wheat. Slightly sweet.
    versus
    2) Allagash White (5.2%): A Witbier from Maine with flavors of Belgian spice, bread spice, coriander, citrus. Crisp, clean, dry.

    3) Hoof Hearted Helmet Nachos (8.0% canned 11/2021): A NEIPA from Connecticut with flavors of Citronella and peach tea, citrus, matcha, herbs. Oxidized.
    versus
    4) American Solara Take it to the Max with Phantasm (8.2%): A NEIPA from Oklahoma with Phantasm for flavors of citrus, pineapple, sweet grape and apple juice. Slightly funky.
    (Both pair correctly matched blind)
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Winners:

    2) Allagash White: Nice Belgian flavors. Light, not overpowering, and finishes clean and dry. Leinenkugel's was good for what it was, a blueberry wheat.

    4) American Solera Take it to the Max with Phantasm: Probably old, but the flavor holds up decently. Slightly funky aromas, but the flavors were there with apple and grape juice. Decent. Sorry, nothing was stand-out great tonight.

Cheers to all - and best wishes to @beergoot . We are getting a new puppy this weekend, which will bring us back up to two, but I can't say I'm fully over the loss of my previous two pups just a few years ago - really, my only friends at the time. It never gets easier.

It's worth saving for NBW. I enjoyed it to the very end. Not an instant gratification kind of beer (like the Rocky Road imperial pastry stout I have right now), but something more worth really savoring and assessing.

Another Budweiser Czechvar honestly very nice and sort of makes me want to revisit Pilsner Urquell. I've only had it once and it was terribly skunked and off and this is really nice despite the green bottle. Crackery malts with lightly citrusy and bitter hops to balance it all out. A very nice lager

This is probably the single best beer I've had from Hidden River, They just keep dialing it in. Extra Lava Channel. So superb. Distinguished in every word possible. Nose is chewy mango, honeysuckle, and honey. Mango, grapefruit, citrus rind, and pine sap fall on the palate so effortlessly w/ each note never outweighing the other. Full bodied, chewy mouthfeel. Soft w/ dexterity. Finishes w/ a delicate bitterness that lingers all so briefly. This is the best of both worlds for me as a true IPA lover. I say true not to pat myself on the back. I say true because what have I drank basically every single day in this forum for years? You guys know the answer. I'm calling this one a masterpiece. I love you.
