    Catch Me By The Coconut, a Pastry Stout from Dutch brewery Kees (11.9%).

    This came as a really positive surprise to me, being my kind of Pastry Stout. I'm not even sure sure if I would call this a Pastry Stout, as it really isn't that sweet or with an overdone coconut presence, actually being quite well-balanced.

    This is my 1999th review, so I got something special lined up for Saturday :grin:.

    When you think about that quote, what sort of “cancel culture” upsets you more: people literally trying to remove books from schools about sexuality, gender and racism, or people who won’t patronize a small business because the owner is a jerk? Here in southeastern Pennsylvania, we’ve got both kinds of people — but probably far more of the first kind. :beers:

    Good evening, all! I'm drinking Urban Chestnut Zwickel, which I picked up during a recent road trip. Or maybe not so recent. I don't remember. Pathetic, isn't it? I think this is the beer that all those folks who say "I want my beer to taste like beer" want. (Diagramming the previous sentence is left as an exercise for the reader.) I was going to pair this with a bacon sandwich on toasted Brownberry Keto bread with fresh tomatoes, spring greens, and gochujang-sriracha aioli, but the sandwich was long gone by the time I got around to the beer. Pity, for as Kor said to Captain Kirk in "Errand of Mercy" (ST:ToS S01E26), "It would have been glorious!" Prost!
