Last night's Purdue / Penn State game in West Lafayette, at least we know where Thing 2 was .!.!.! (Front and center. ) ... game ended around 11:30, then they went out to the bar after the game because his best friend is getting married tomorrow... and still made it to his 8 AM class today. That's ma boy!



And right now / real time? Hangin' on the deck with friends and enjoying some liquid shah.

Is that a new release? I’ve had many OLHs but it was almost 6%, not including the anniversary release that was 8%. I guess what is sessioable is subjective but a standard beer is 5%, no?

I don't drink Octoberfests very often because I generally don't like them, most are are just malt bombs to me. I picked up a few different singles today to try - having this one from Berkshire. It's okay, but overly sweet and malty to me. I'm sure it's a well made beer but it exemplifies the reasons I don't like Octoberfests. Somewhat of a chore to drink IMHO. Has a cloying sweetness that I don't care for.

 

Kicking off the holiday weekend with this Hop Butcher TheGreat Soapbox Orators.

 

The dish looks really good! Two of my favorite foods. Any kind of fish or shell fish, and anything Cajun.
