    Good afternoon, all! I'm drinking this and you're not: Hellscape, a smoked helles from Lion Bridge Brewing, Cedar Rapids, IA. Paired with ham and pepper jack on wheat, with mustard. The beer, with its notes of light smoke, tart apple, and hop bitterness, complements the sandwich perfectly. And serendipitously. :slight_smile: Cheers!

    To think I hesitated to buy this because it's from a US brewer and almost passed it by due to higher price vs the standard 6pks of Paulaner, etc.

    Enjoying an Asheville brewer today. Green Man Trickster IPA. Hopped nicely with tropical, citrus, and stone fruit. Do like IPA's that have a touch of stone fruit!

    I have not had the Double Homestyle but have had a Homestyle I got in a trade many moons ago.

    I posted this story twice over the years so I will spare you the sordid details of handling really hot jalapeños and then going to the Mens room to give my bladder more room for beer.
