Mutiple Tornado Warnings in the area, so far, so good here. Just glad they had the sense to not try to & play the game tonight. Took today off because everything was up in the air over this game. It did my body some good to rest today.

Now onto this excessively juicy IPA from New Belgium. Passion fruit and pear juice. Very tasty!

I used to listen to some Public Enemy and I have been checking out more of their stuff on Spotify. They have some great songs. Chuck D has such an authority about him. He’s a badass. Flavor Flav keeps things from getting to heavy.

I work on the sales side. I don’t put in the manual labor hours but I am on call all day addressing service issues. I have so much respect for the delivery drivers. The deliver drivers I work with I always give them a Christmas card and a $50 gift card. When I used to load packages on delivery trucks the drivers used to give me a card and money since I loaded their trucks accurately, so just returning the favor.

 

Deschutes Fresh Squeezed - It's wild when I think back to the days when this beer was sought after in my area and now it's in a gas station in a 19.2 oz can for $3.25 (canned on 10/06). It was between this and ultra fresh DFH 60 Minute (the freshest I've seen it in a while) but I went with this since I have only had it a few times and I couldn't tell you the last time that I did.

I'll be brief: this beer is very good and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. It hits a lot of notes and is hoppy, juicy, crisp and balanced. A classic and a nice bridge between the old-school and the hazy taste profiles; this is one of those IPAs that would be a great starter IPA if you wanted to introduce someone to the style. Budmo!

 

Funny you mentioned it but I just texted son-in-law that we are going to OBX, NC beach this summer and we have to crush a lot of NC oysters.

Keith Jarrett's Budapest Concert spinning. Maybe one of his last concerts, supposedly the Bordaeux Concert was to be released today, and was recorded the same year as the Budapest show. Though no store around me has gotten it yet. Probably because ECM is a German company and it takes a little longer for releases to get here Anyway, looking forward to that and hoping these won't be his last shows.

 

This is my first of this year's offering, of Central Waters Brewing's signature beer. The label changed. It is very glossy. There is no date indicated at all. The beer is as good as ever. I just realized this is the 15-year anniversary week of the week I spent in Helsinki, Finland. It is a long story, but I was forced to survive on just a couple Euros that I had in my pocket, but it may have been the best experience I have ever had traveling. This new song brings me right back there.

 

Good evening to the best beer bar in history, the best selection in the entire world. With so many amazing Beer Lovers to envy. It has been awhile with this one and pretty much digging it. Cheers Friends!
