I've been getting it in cans for a couple of years now....[IMG]I'll let the sketchy dude who digs through my recycle every Thursday know to expect more cans.

Ballast Point cans have started popping up around me, but no Sculpin yet

Sadly, Sculpin is not as good as it was prior to mass production starting. Used to be one of my favorites. I pretty much avoid it now.

Hey,atleast you admitted it.New England Brewing Co. here in my neck o'the woods has been canning for years. There has been countless threads on "canned beer" and the issue of not tasting the same as in a bottle.

    Hooray for canned craft beer!

    Cheers

It recently arrived in my area. It was great fresh, but picked up another sixer that was about 4 months old and it wasn't quite the same. My main problem with it is the price. Can't find it cheaper than $15/sixer. No thanks. Rather have a 2 week old 2 Hearted Ale sixer for $10.

I was in California this past weekend and I saw a cardboard box for the Sculpin cans on the ground while waiting to get into Coachella. So they are definitely out there, but I personally didn't see any at the one place I went to. I wish they would hit here soon in Texas because I'd like to take some to float the river this summer and bottles aren't allowed.

bought a six of sculpin last week date 8/16/13(228 day) minus 4 months(120 days) means it was brewed 4/18/13(108 day). bought it on friday the 19th. no way it got from san diego to a shelf in holiday fl. in one day. freshest i've ever seen in fl. just questioning the 4 month thing.
    thanks

4 months is bullshit. I have already seen bottles with dates five months out.

just called ballast point. gave me the "not an expiration date......". said it was brewed 4 to 5 months before that date. no help. i would think for Q A purposes, when given a date they could tell exactly when made. just don't wanna give out that info?

Yeah - they are totally lame with this. Freshness isn't a concern of theirs. They date Dorado 1 YEAR out.

I dunno what to tell you. I called them in person and spoke to someone in person. It appears that there may be some bad information floating around, and possibly coming directly from the brewery. Sorry I can't be of more help.

fresh beer only says everything under 10% is 120 days from bottling. over 10 is one year
