Hard pass. The only way they could have made a less appealing pack is if one or more of them were hazies/milkshakes.

I never cease to baffled by the stupidity of Stone Brewing. If they had actually released something like this people would buy it. But this "Delicious" variety pack? Nobody's going to buy that. It's just going to sit on the shelf and collect dust.

In the time it took me to scroll to the bottom of the page, I already forgot what the beers in this mixed-6 are. That’s how exciting it is.

Not the most exciting or inspired variety pack, but will probably grab one to try if I see it around.

I know most of yall in here are talkin shit about how weak it is, but these things move like crazy in the taproom. So many times Old Guardian, Imperial Stout, Mikhail , DB and the like are on tap , but what do the normies order? Fucking Delicious and Michelada crap.

We forget we are now in the minority and no one cares what we want as far as beer goes .

The casuals now frequent these places . None of them are on this site. We are a small number. You not buying the 6 pack is like me not buying the "extreme stout box".

You think Sierra Nevada and the rest make those variety packs to lose money?

It's said but what can ya do?
    The beer is good tho

Hi Jack, I’m talking specifically about their hoppy IPA styles. Pale Ale, Ruination and the Enjoy By series I really liked all of those quite a lot back then (when fresh). These new “Delicious” series IPAs aren’t nearly as good. I was always just luke warm on Stone IPA (regular) back then and still just luke warm with today (is it same formula)?

Ironically, when they have been bringing back these periodic offerings of classic beer style 6packs from the past, they are expensive.

I do have have to say I see a lot of Stone IPA these days. On tap at random dive bars, on the train when I went out to NYC. Not a bad thing to have in places that don't carry too much craft.

Didn't Sierra Nevada jsut bring back Oktoberfest and Summerfest for 2023 because of the outcry on these boards?

You're mostly right, but I've seen more than a few trends start on BA and then play out in the real world.

I've been on this site since 2004...I've seen people here tout their love of IPAs...and then IPAs became king. This place was the first to rave about New England IPAs from Tree House and Trillium back when they were small operations...and now New England IPAs are king.

Outcry is a nice way to put it.

You remember why they stopped making it..SeirraTerrance said they stopped selling. I forgot how many barrels they ended up making dude.to declining sales..I'm sure someone has the number though.
Even if they bring back those 2 for people on the board do you think they're gonna stop selling any of their Little _____ Thing that the majority of people here say sucks or the mixed variety packs "no one wants"?
It's their biggest seller. Same with Stones Delicious line.
    Thats all i was saying.

Most of these things being made by brewers at grocery stores aren't for beer advocates. Their for the middle aged guy who thinks he's cool at a backyard bbq that "likes good ipas" .

Solid take and agree with you. I would even add on that these mixed packs are driven by data from bean counters with super elaborate spreadsheets these larger breweries employ and mixed packs are a good way to fully deplete packaging materials for these beers they have in stock but don't plan to make again in large format. These larger breweries have turned to off premise accounts so they can move in volume and off premise is where "the casuals" shop. Cheers.

I wonder how this will be priced when compared to the 12 Days of IPA or whatever that holiday mixed 12-pack was called. I was at the grocery store yesterday and saw quite a few of them marked down 50% off to $14.50 which is more in line with how it should have been priced from the get-go.

I’ve been out of the beer news game for awhile. Can someone catch me up to speed on the issues with Green Flash (which i havent had for probably 10 years) and Stone?

I imagine Summer Break and the IPA they put out this fall didn't sell well though for them to even consider bringing back Oktoberfest and Summerfest.

Are they going to remove "Hazy Little____"? No. But they had to remove two IPAs to reinsert two lagers back into the lineup.

And if their IPA mixed packs are selling so well, how come so many people see them out of date and rotting on shelves...

But overall, I don't disagree with a lot of what you said. The whole "let's throw 100 billion IPAs at the wall and try to make money" wasn't going to be more profitable than selling out. They sold out for a reason. Let the big guy take the brand and figure it out.

Every other year someone brings this up and my heart hurts.
Dayman was the king of their IPA lineup. Lucky to have had such a treasure.

I remember wife knew how much i loved it and she got me the Groundbreaking Series of Dayman ..
shit was infected. They did trade in the empty bottle for any pick of 2 other Groundbreaking Collabs but i wanted my fuckin Dayman

Literally the one that got away...

So is stone delicious the new hazy little thing, voodoo ranger, two hearted, sculpin? Regional breweries taking a popular beer and just making variations of it? Seems like hazy little thing and voodoo are doing well with this strategy.

Expanded production and hurt quality, bought darling Alpine Brewing and ruined their product, went bankrupt. Both Green Flash and Alpine are resurrected and bring brewed by someone but are widely regarded as shadows of their former selves
