First up, an IPA from Jolly Fox out of Pitsburg, KS; a new to me brewery

 

My house beer. In my beautiful new glass. I would take sunny and cold with minimal wind and snow on the ground over 75 degrees and cloudy, if I had to make a choice. Happy birthday weekend to @EmperorBevis!

 

At my dad's watching the Eagles game. Enjoying a Double Nugget Nectar. Cheers and go birds! Off to a good start!

 

I had read that about him because I was wondering why he had such a short career. It really blows me away how many of these great jazz artists met such unfortunate, untimely ends.

 

Stone Ruination DIPA (Magnum, Chinook, Centennial). Old school west coast goodness chock full of pine resin and yellow grapefruit. No complaints here.

Okay BA's, I'm making Koko Buni chili tonight. Subbing Creature Comforts Koko Buni Milk Porter for my usual Pretoria Fields Stout in my chili. The Koko Buni has coconut, cocoa nibs and coffee in it. Been wanting to find out how ot would work in my chili. Gotta go make the corn bread to go with now. Be back later. Cheers!!

Full review in the New Beer Sunday #936 thread. Hot take Chicago J's view, coffee overpowers the Scottish Ale base, works for me because I'm not the biggest Scottish Ale fan, but likely not for others looking for a more traditional treatment. Enjoyed the coffee, hope to see this in other 3 Floyds stouts.

Listened to the entire Blues Before Sunrise set during the overnight, which always ends with this song by OG Peter Green Fleetwood Mac.

More Coltrane as well, this is an interesting collection with tons of great players. I don't think Coltrane was at his best here, but Hank Mobley and Johnny Griffin sure are in top form. With Lee Morgan as well. This is really swinging hard bop ha.
