    Happy Saturday BA's

Emma and I got a chilly 16 degree walk in earlier - not too bad with the sunshine...supposed to start warming up nicely over the next day or so....

Making some black bean veggie chili, and decided to pop this one - partially frozen from being out in my (unheated) sunroom!

some "ice candles" from our walk

lots of mallards in the open river

Anything I’ve had from Central Waters which is a couple of beers only has been outstanding.

Hope you had a great birthday btw. Cheers, D!

Thank you! It was 15 degrees when I drooled to Maryland this morning to pick it up, so perfect weather for a Porter!

ps-I did pick up Lagunitas Willetized, but after yesterdays 6-pack binge, I decided to skip that beer. Maybe tomorrow…

I don't generally have an early beer, but was noshing on some ribs and a beer seemed apropos. Never had this one before but it's pretty tasty and enjoyable. From a local brewery - Bay State Brewing which is only 6.8 miles from my house. So, it's cold out today but definitely bearable now that temps have risen above freezing. It's actually 4 degrees right now - but just another cold day in New England. Been there before.

Doing the line crawl at Mortalis earlier and someone breaks out a ‘22 SP BBT. Yep. Never thought I’d taste any. Very intense barrel wood. Alcohol bites fast. Thinner than I thought it would be. What a nice surprise.

Happy frigid Saturday you northern BA's! My wife spoke with her sister, that lives about 15 miles from @SawDog505 in NH and it was -12 at the time. We had a chilly 42 here this morning. Laundry done, shooting practice complete, and getting ready to wash the GT350 for cars & coffee tomorrow. The bottom of bloody mary #2 and a pour of 2020 BCBS, still tasting amazing!

Is it too early to have a beer? Yes, Hunter, it is. Come back in a few hours. You can do it! Cheers, everyone.

I get those ribs at my local supermarket - they smoke them on-prem and they're really quite good. I usually get 2 or 3 meals out of a full rack. $16.99 for a full rack ready to eat isn't too bad. They used to be $14.99 for a full rack but inflation ya know ...

Zero Gravity Little Wolf Pale Ale, 4.7% - sipped through chattering teeth on this frigid sunny day. Power went out at 3am, back now, but it was -11 outside and 51 inside this morning! Cheers! :grimacing::beers:

-Look: a deep-orange color with a fine clumpy head.
-Aroma: candied orange, mango, apricot, mild pine.
-Taste: sweet candied-orange, light citrus, one pine needle.
-Feel: sticky, slightly chewy, low carbonation, round and soft.
-Overall: a very enjoyable orange-dominated pale ale!

One of the squirrels from the attic (all since removed at some expense) briefly got into the basement and did a little duct work/insulation damage … drinking a Devils Backbone Heavenly Trip Juicy IPA as I patch up the Frankenstein-ish interior HVAC ducts:

Day is warming nicely outside. More minor repairs ahead. Cheers y’all!
