1) Blackstack Pull Tabs (6.0% canned 2/3/22): A NEPA from Minnesota with Mosaic, Strata, and El Dorado for fruity orange citrus, strawberry, bubblegum, pineapple. Juicy, fruity, clean.
versus
2) Revelation Ale Works Edison’s Medicine (6.4% canned 11/14/22): A NEIPA from Minnesota with Citra and Mosaic for flavors of peach, watermelon, melon, and mango flavors. Leans sweet. (Mismatched the two beers blind)

Winner:
1) BlackStack Pull Tabs: Not really a contest here. First try at Revelation Ale Works, but this one didn't meet the expectations. Tropical melon and peach and a bit too thick and sweet. BlackStack has made Pull Tabs before and I previously had high ratings of this one. Again it delivers with juicy orange, juicyfruit, bubblegum. The real win here this is the first canning date I've seen on BlackStack beer. Maybe it was unintentional, but I am hopeful we are making progress and a win nonetheless!

Nice throwback red IPA. Good balance of malt and hops. I probably need to slow down after this one. Cheers all!

I dumped the rest of that Centennial IPA, no reason to drink old sub-par beer. This one I know is fresh - 2/28/23. Out of Waltham Ma.



Home made jerked chicken wings with oven baked Cajun spiced sweet potato fries.

 

3 Floyd's Zombie Ice DIPA (Citra). Drinks like a bigger version of the the OG, but not necessarily more aggressive. A pop of sweet citrus and slight tropical notes up front (orange marmalade, tangelo, mango peel, orange zest, bright floral) make way for a dry, fairly bitter, piney, herbaceous finish. Liking it more and more as I drink it.

4 GIANTS Tropical Treasure Tropical Hazy Ipa
7.5 % abv and 50 ibus which all are listed on the can. 2/6 can date. Kinda went in reserved on this one, never heard or read anything about this variant. This is very good!! Ticks all the Tropical type noted in smell and flavors. Pineapple mango citrus bubble gum type of juicy fruit flavor almost. 4 packs is the availability. A+ GRADE. . All need now is some Tropical weather not this snow storm that is brewing.

 

Can’t wait to check these guys out. Heard good things.

I saw it fresh today and grabbed it, nice change of pace from the juice bombs I usually drink.

Dinner tonight under the watchful eye of Henri, he ate a good 4 oz hunk. Cheers all!

 

I don't think you'll be disappointed. They make quality stuff across all styles. Tap list is usually a nice variety of styles too which is always great.

Happy Friday evening! Opening my first stout from the “Big Box of Stouts “ mixed pack! Starting it off with “Gravastar” Peanut Butter Oatmeal Stout.

The wings look great. I like the jerk (who are you referring to Mike) spice . The fries look good too. Anything Cancun gets my vote. A perfect Friday night dinner.

Steak for chow here tonight. Gonna pan grille with Montreal steak seasoning.
