What beer are you drinking now? #3812

The day was seized…or ceased for sure.

 

1) Toppling Goliath King Sue (7.8% canned 12/29/22): A NEIPA from Iowa since 2014 that is brewed with Citra hops and has flavors of orange citrus, pineapple, and tropical mango.
versus
2) Toppling Goliath Electric Dino Boogie (7.8% canned 2/27/23): A NEIPA from Iowa/Tx collab with Pinthouse Brewing with Simcoe, Citra, and Galaxy for flavors of juicy orange, cantaloupe and peach, tropical fruit with a touch of pine and dank herbal notes. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Winner:
1) TG King Sue: What did we really expect here? It's milder, not as robust or juicy. But the combination of flavors perfectly matched by the smooth mouthfeel. Almost a decade old, but some beers are timeless.

 

Awesome it was.

Update: my supervisor text me and asked me if I wanted to retract my day off. I responded with

Ok - maybe yesterday was a little too soon to come back to the real stuff. Paid for it last night.
So, Zero G to be sure that I can knock this lil' bug in its ass.

Man that sounds delicious. I like to make mine with jalapenos or serrano's to give it a lil kick. I'm a carnivore at heart and a avid believer in eating meat. But I love finding tasty dishes without or minimal meat. Lately iv been watching my weight more so iv been eating more veggies and mushrooms. I like cow and pig to much, had to slow down. More shrimp n fish need to be on the menu.

 

Enjoying a Allagash BA cocktail beer. It is definitely different. Initially i picked up a note of sour red wine barrel but subsequently I am getting some white wine notes to go with the BA barrel notes of vanilla and bourbon. Interesting beer for sure!

Nice sunny springtime weather here in N. GA. That wonderful time of year when your car gets hard to find in a parking lot because the cars are all the same color - yellow.

The last can from my 4 pack of Heady Topper. This beer got better by the can. It is more than worth the $20.00 a 4 pack I paid. A great beer by any standard!

 

Onto round two, since i am drinking round one beer purchased at the end of October, no surprise i have some of these hanging around. Canning date of 11-3-22; still tastes great but the hops bitterness on the backend is not quite as intense these days. One of these years i am going to purchase two or three 12 packs in December just to sample throughout the year as this is such a wonderful beer i can never tire of!

That's looks interesting Tom. I'll have to look around to see if we get that around me.

 

The single hop beers are always interesting to me. I wish more breweries did those so you can really taste and smell what the hop brings to the table. Do you know which hop they used?
