    Dark brown body; opaque in the glass; nice head for the ABV, light tan colored and lasting. Very heady aroma; dark roasted grains and maple syrup sweetness complemented with a wonderful dark roasted coffee bean note. Rich, sweet flavor with espresso tones; dark chocolate; roasted grains and grain char; subliminal boozy taste cutting through the dark sweetness; maple syrup lurking all around. Heavy body; rich and chewy on the palate; subtle layer of alcohol warmth.

    A rich and decadent beer, exuding dark grain and coffee robustness and nicely offset with a big, boozy undercurrent.

    No double is better this tops hopslam we drank them side by side in the winter. Imagine a boysenberry jam flavored malt backbone with real strong hops up front, nice sweet, Dr pepper esqe mouthfeel, nice oily but not malty finish. No heat. I swear if they change this recipe too im just goin back to snpa and nothing else. BTW we have no relation to Iowa but how about that glass lol.
