This might be why i used the term "supposed" in front of rare. Someone on another thread was saying Washington has rare beers but I would tend to agree with you. I have not stumbled upon any of them.

    From México I'd choose two.

    - La Chingonería Házmela Rusa
    - Cervecería Insurgente La Lupulosa

I was more making a joke about the now legendary thread.

There is certainly the occasional DONG that might make TACO worthy wale status and some others that tickers from other states might consider a rare treat. B-Bomb is pretty damn tasty but it's a shelf turd on the west side.

As far as a serious response to OP - It's hard to pick one. I guess if I were sending a beer to a competition and wanted to win, I'd pick No-Li Crystal Bitter, because it already won. Not my favorite beer and not even my favorite from that brewery, but competitions are different from personal preference.

Yikes being from Spokane, that beer was EASY for us to get here. I am not a fan of anything put out by No-Li. It's just not that good IMO. I guess hard to get, doesn't always mean qualiity.

They've stepped up their game lately. You should give them another shot. The winter warmer they just brewed is top-notch imho.

Moved from Utah 7 months ago to Philly, so for Utah it would have to be Uinta Dubhe. Pennsylvania I just love Troegs Nugget Nectar.

I poured that one down the drain. From PA? Really? No disrespect, but come on. Rye Rebellion from Full Pint, Troegs offerings, Hop Devil. The list goes on.

I would have to say Bourbon County Coffee. I know it is barrel aged but it does come out every year and is fairly available in the Chicago area.

The State of MN has some solid IPA's...
You can't go wrong with Surly - Abrasive, Furious, and Wet... two new breweries Indeed has DayTripper and Steeltoe has Size 7. All great IPA's

and we can't forget Surly Darkness outside of the IPA class.

From Goose Island, would have to say their vintage ales. I enjoy Sofie, but any one of them is great. I know that a lot of Goose Island can be found in other places, but I think of them as a very solid brewery, even if being bought out by Anheuser-Busch.

Boaks Three Blind Monks from NJ, but I doubt I will ever have a chance to have it again. Of things that are readily available: Carton Epitome or Carton 077XX. Kane Head High and Overhead are not far behind.

I'd have to agree. Even though I have yet to try Sofie, I do enjoy Matilda very much and they seem to have some very solid Belgian offerings
