Just to double check: those beers were cool/cold to the touch when you received them?

    Cheers!

So long as these are West Coast-style IPAs, and not NEIPAs from the West Coast, I’m in!

Yes, hopefully "West Coast style" is the accurate descriptor. Although nowadays that seems to just be used to describe anything not hazy. Less arguing about "East Coast style" and "Midwest Style", "Vermont Style" IPAs

Granted, it's my experience, but I haven't even seen this be a differentiation. I'll admit to having a better chance at a "truer to my experience" WCIPA if I see an IPA advertised as such, but I need to know the brewer to feel the term actually has any meaning these days.

That said, I am anxiously awaiting this box which hopefully shows a [narrow?] range of options that meet my old man (and the GF's old woman) expectations.

Where’s the thread for unfounded and completely hypothetical speculation? Aka the wish list?

Definitely in for us. Haven't missed one of Todd's boxes for years. Having a whole case of WCIPAs - a real plus would be having a good portion coming from actual West Coast brewers, of which there are a few here and there.

Honestly I'd be satisfied with a mixed box of Head Hunter and Hop JuJu and nothing else.

… or hazy (opaque). It’s actually a bit shocking how loose this is right now given how much focus there was on the haziness of the NEIPA not very long ago… and how West Coast IPAs never left the marketplace. It feels like the idea of a “West Coast” IPA has evolved, along with a total change in consumer acceptance of murkiness in beer as a result of NEIPAs (at a level that wheat beers didn’t achieve). The last time I had a new “West Coast” IPA from an East Coast brewer, the beer felt like a NEIPA with more bitterness and earthiness.

Or you could move. It's what a real Beer Advocate would do.
Yep, I've experienced this too and I'm not crazy about it. It feels like a bait and switch.
