I'm in! I liked that, on paper at least, these all look to be true WCIPA and not Imperial. I'm getting too old for high ABV.

Next box idea - Light and Mild (ABV less than 5%)

The Halftime website says "Boxes purchased now will ship in early June 2023."

Is it early June or mid June? I will be on vacation the first week of June so it may factor into my decision to order.

Good catch. It’s early June in the first post of this thread too, but I’ll sync the FAQ.

From my conversations with the brewers, who are also concerned about the freshness of their WCIPAs, many of these were fresh batches being canned just prior to shipping to Half Time; later this month.

On the fence on this one. I like the theme, and I get that a variety pack and shipping comes with premium, but more than $10 a can is a little steep. I normally balk when breweries want $20 a 4-pack for an IPA, and this is double that price.

Almost $11 /beer... My god, I do love beer and was "instantly in" until I saw that. C'mon man, you're taking advantage of people who just love beer.
Consider me disappointed that I will not partake purely on principle.

Not being argumentative. but rather voicing my opinion. I just want to remind you and others here that there are ALOT of costs associated with these boxes that people probably don't think about. If i didn't have friends/peers in the industry, I would honestly overlook a bunch of this as well.

You're not buying a case of 12 beers from a brewery direct. You're buying 12 beers that were created by 12 different breweries, that are then shipped to a warehouse for short term temperature controlled storage. Once there, the boxes are "created" which adds labor costs at the distro and then they actually have to be shipped, which also adds cost.

All that factored in, it's not really an unreasonable price for a curated box. At least that's my opinion.

But looking at their website, what I don't understand is why Half Time's prices (before adding in shipping) are so much higher than other retail beer stores for normally distributed beer? For example, they have Lawson's Sip of Sunshine listed at $24 a 4-pack (before shipping). I can buy it around here (further from VT than NY) for $16 or $17.

and the Radiant, Beachwood, El Segundo and Pizza Port and Ghost Town beers are all out here for 2-3 bucks per single , but i think this is more for who :
1 ) are people in landlocked states with crap beers/ipas
    2) people who loves WCIPA way too much
3 ) people who want to give money to HalfTime
    4) people who wanna support this website
If you aren't one of these i think its best to just stay silent and let people enjoy themselves

I'll be raising a WCIPA to that. I think it's good life advice all 'round, really...
