Settled in on the beach, but might head out on the boat for second shift and hit up the sandbar... Looks packed over there today. A mile from my beach, but can see when it gets hoppin'

    Cheers!!

Thanks for the start today @tolar111!

Had a 2016 backwoods bastard it took me a couple hours to enjoy and polish off.

Roaring Table Scamper Wagtail Golden Pub Ale (Cashmere, Wai-iti, Amarillo). Thoughts over on NBW, but to sum it all up, this is a refreshing and enjoyable beer. The combination of the particular English yeast strain they use and the hops works well. Wouldn't expect anything less from these guys.

Did a few things today, nothing too much. Turkey, red onion, hummus, avacado and arugala sammy with this new to me beer. From a mix pack I have never had one as it’s hazy and I’m not a big fan. Found this in the back of the fridge. It’s a few months old but still ok. Bit fruity but this does have some upfront bitterness. Very light body. Tangerine all around. Like to try this fresh.

    Enjoy

What’s the best forum to ask about Tree House beers and ask questions about the different locations?

    1) Dovetail Helles (4.4%): A German Helles Lager from Chicago with flavors of light citrusflower, honeysuckle, and pale Munich bread malts. Light and clean.
    versus
    2) Dovetail Kölsch (4.6%): A Kölsch-style ale from Chicago with flavors of toasty Munich bread malts and yeast. Clean and dry. (Mismatched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    1) Dovetail Helles Lager
: Dovetail Battle Beers. One of the best breweries from Chicago that sticks to what they know and that's German beer. Highly rated Helles and Kölsch. Had the Kölsch before and it drinks very well. A bit more toasted and malty than I expected. Maybe that's the yeast that imparts that flavor. First try at the Helles Lager. Extremely good as well with light citrus and flower, honeysuckle and smooth flavors. Even after I couldn't match the two blind, I still think the Helles seems more fruity and the Kölsch more toasted. Both are excellent and extremely similar.
