Beachwood Octopus Arcade IPA (Mosaic, Idaho 7, Ekuanot). Big blueberry, ruby red grapefruit flesh and peel, bright floral, tangerine, honeydew melon, herbaceous dankness, and pine resin. Crisp and dry with a nice bitterness. Beachwood is not to be messed with when it comes to WC IPA.

Iv wondered what round you like to shoot with. I just traded my 5.56 Colt for a Mossberg 590a1 recently I know big difference, I'm itching to take it out tho. Was not happy with the colt I was overcharged for it to begin with during the pandemic and didn't want to sink any more $ into it was like F it. Rather build up a new short 300 blackout or build a 5.56 how I want it to begin with if I'm going to lay some cash down.

    1) Phase 3 DDH Low Ceiling (7.8% canned 3/30/23): A NEIPA from Chicago with DDH of Citra and Mosaic for flavors of tangerine, grapes, berries, melon, with some dank herbal notes. Juicy and sweet.
    versus
    2) Hop Butcher Kielbasa King (7.5% canned 3/25/23): A NEIPA from Chicago with Mosaic and Nelson for flavors of white grape, blueberries, tropical melon. Smooth and creamy. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    2) Hop Butcher Kielbasa King
: Chicago Haze Battle. Revisiting Phase 3 Low Ceilings as one of my all-time favorites from them. Great Citra/Mosaic combo. One of their best.
First try at their Kielbasa King with Nelson and Mosaic. Extremely well done with white grapes from the Nelson mixes with tropical blueberries and melon from the Mosaic. Creamy, smooth. Almost a little too smooth and bet when fresh it had even a bit of cleansing citrus and pine. Not easy to find fresh outside of Chicago though. The Hop Butcher Sunday trend still going strong. I think both are some of the best haze from Chicago.

I think you're spot on in saying both of these breweries make some of the best haze in Chicago. There's a few others that you may or may not have access to that give them a run for their money though (i.e. Saint Errant, Brothership, Old Irving). Cheers!

Enjoying a TIPA from a collaboration with Aslin and Outer Range. Interesting as this comes out very balanced with an extremely big, bodied smoothness.

Did not realize it until this morning but i hit 20 years of advocating yesterday. Other than evaluating beers, was a lurker while a working-class slob thru 2018. It is nice to have the time now to appreciate the knowledge, camaraderie, and humor of my fellow advocates!
    Cheers!
