im in long island ny . my distributor just got 12 bottles - 1 for me . I'm thinking I should age it since it recommends you to age up to 5 years.

Thanks - Seems like LI and Queens got some shipments here today, but doesn't look like Manhattan/Brooklyn got anything yet. Probably Friday..

Recommends? Or states it's possible? I think BOTH of these are best fresh...don't see much more coming out of them.

I feel the bramble got better with age last year. The first bottle I had of it sucked, second bottle was good, and the third was awesome.

AR just got its shipment of BCBS and BCBCS last week. We also got Madame rose and night stalker. The 2012 BCBS is ok but it's really green. The case I got is going to the back of the cellar a s I'm aging it till at least next year. The BCBCS was better then I expected! What a phenomenal beer. No cherry eded up here that's know of.

BCBCS is better than the BCBS this year, and it better be, considering the price. But anyhoo, on Long Island NY here, Cherry Rye's pretty tight.

Never said it wasn't, nor did I say that I haven't got it. But, big thanks for going out of your way and relaying that info!

My post had nothing to do what you said. I was simply stating it has hit the island

Its already hit both these states so probably not. Our biggest beer store here only got six bottles of Cherry and they sold out within mins. Coffee hits here this week I hear but I'm sure they'll be gone just as fast.

Cherry Rye went on sale in Northern NJ i was able to score four bottles of which i have traded 2 away. Coffee wasn't approved for sale until January. Rockland County NY hasn't seen either as far as i can tell I check in with my beer guys daily.

Picked up a couple Coffee's this year (no luck getting a Cherry). How well does the Coffee age? Is it better to enjoy this one fresh or age it a little?

General consensus is fresher is better. I put a year on my 2011 bottle (only one I've ever had) and it was very good still. Probably would have been better fresh if you enjoy coffee. There was still a bunch left though.

Having had it fresh and with a year on it I much preferred it with a year on it for the same reason I prefer BCBS and all its variants with a year on it....the bourbon takes just enough of a back seat that all the flavors complement each other perfectly IMO...if you are a bourbon lover more than anything however perhaps fresh is your thing

I live in Pittsburgh and my bottle shop guy told me he had a case of Cherry Rye coming in. Still, to this day, it has not shown up. Unfortunate because I would have spent my paycheck and signed away the first born for it. maybe I can come across some coffee it seems while I'm in mid Michigan till the new year

Took forever to show up in Iowa. Everyone thought they would get a case or two. A few retailers got 6 bottles each. It may still get there, but nobody will likely get what they think they will.

It ages poorly. I love Coffee BCS because it's awesome and I don't have to feel bad about drinking it all now, knowing that it will not be as good if it sits.

So did we find out exactly(factually) how many cases of Cherry Rye were produced, or at least shipped to wholesalers/retailers?
