    Emma is just a great dog - looks like a really good friend. You really lucked out getting her and you can tell she loves you as well! If I were ever to get a dog (not going to happen), I'd want one like Emma.

    Can't wait to see that canoe when you finish it, I know it's going to be gorgeous.

    look: 3.75 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 4 | overall: 4

    Dark brown pour, clear, black and opaque in the glass; nice head, somewhat dense, long lasting; sticky foam remnants inside the glass. Very nice dark roasted grain smell; cocoa and wood char. Complex flavor; cocoa and dark bitter chocolate; barrel wood; moderate booziness; vanilla. Heavy mouthfeel; smooth and slippery; lots of alcohol warmth and heat; residual sugar stickiness.

    Another fine big and ballsy barrel-aged beer from Avery. The toasted coconut isn't very prominent, but all the other adjuncts make a nice appearance.

    Thanks so much, Larry! Emma is a very special pup for sure, and I am not sure if she rescued me or vice versa 3 years ago - but grateful to have her with me now!

    The latest wood boat project is coming along - more sanding today - kind of a pain sanding the inside, lots of skinny ribs running from front to back....since it will be a gift to my daughter and her fiance when they get married in October, I want it to be extra awesome! Labor of love, for sure! Cheers, Larry, and thanks again!

    Lunar Brewing is a brewery hiding in a neighborhood bar. They consistently have a great guest taplist and bottles/cans available. This is Odd Side Mixed Nuts barrel aged imperial stout.
