What beer are you drinking now? #3967

I don’t buy 12-packs very often anymore - as in “pretty much never” - but when this launched in Northern Indiana, it was 12-packs only.

I am very glad I indulged in a 12-pack, because this is excellent, IMHO.

BlackStack Enter the Dragon (8.0% no canning date): A NEIPA from Minnesota with Salvo Lotus, Mosaic T90, Mosaic Cryo, Talus T90, Talus Cryo and El Dorado T90 for flavors of tropical tangerine, pineapple, pear, coconut, and melon. Juicy, tropical, and sweet.

Second go at this one from BlackStack. A hodgepodge of hop flavors here with the Lotus, Mosaic, Talus and El Dorado. Very different hops and so not one flavor is accentuated or stands out. Ultimately it has nice flavors, finishes tropical and sweet. Great hops, but they don't mix all that well and sort of form a sweet mess. Still good, and BlackStack can make some great IPAs, but not quite up to par from BlackStack's high standard.

 

Have a good Thursday. Pretty busy week of stress and trying to wind down anxiety. Going to Wilmington this weekend and hoping everyone in the path of the hurricane has been safe. I wrote 5 test work orders to bring me up to week 2401 so my year is planned still need to get the raise business case to my boss.

We are having some ultra expensive chicken tenders and I have a stone fear movie lions in tall boy. Watching the 30th anniversary of jurassic Park in 3D. Recliners are great.
