Drekker Island Paradise Cheesecake Slang Du Jour Sour à la Mode, 6.2% ABV. Pours thick opaque bright gold with a one-finger off-white head that left puree residue. Aroma is granola, cheesecake, brown sugar, and a tropical fruit mashup Taste is fruit up front, followed by the granola and cheesecake, moderately sweet, slightly tart, brown sugar on the close. Excellent thick and creamy mouthfeel, overall outstanding.

TBH, not very 'cheesecakey', but is still outstanding. Granola and brown sugar sure give it a crust taste.

Maine Lunch in the glass. This is such a great IPA.

Archie Shepp spinning, his Three For A Quarter, One For A Dime album. From the album cover, I think he is smoking something @LarryV would enjoy but not completely sure ha.

Also, a side not Larry, I have been listening to more of the songs you post on YouTube, good stuff as always :sunglasses:

This should be renamed "Palate Trasher". Love this shah (and the 19.2 format).

In a Van Halen mood tonight. "Can't Stop Loving You" would be the obvious choice for my post but I'm diggin' deep into the archive for an obscure favorite:

Always a good idea to check canning dates. I admit that I have not followed this advice a few times.

Funny .. I bought some Pabst and Coors last week, and I was looking at the dates on the outside of the 12 PKS. Freshness matters!

[IMG] A head scratcher that anyone actually likes this one. I will get through this 4 pack, but honestly I may never purchase anything from this brewery again.

I concur especially for IPAs sitting on a warm shelf in a store.

I think most big breweries that deliver their brews to stores make it a point to weed out older stuff. I could be wrong, as I am frequently am, but I have more faith that buying name brand brews most times are fresher than local brews bought outside the brewery.
